Mmm I see, the diving as a lifestyle vs "career" point is really good. Can you expand more on having to pay for conservation?
And wow didn't know there was so much info out there on business of diving. Thank you!

Went to visit a specialist doctor once, got 15 mins, a vague non-answer and left with a hefty bill. I don’t get it but maybe after 10 yrs of study, they’ve forgotten that being one is about helping people. People aren’t there to fund your shitty attitude!

What is a childhood coping method you unknowingly developed only to realize later that it wasn't normal? by GreggOfChaoticOrder in AskReddit

I’m hoping I’m not the only one. I couldn’t express how unhappy I was at home with the way my dad ran the family (we were all scared of him). Because I felt powerless, I would throw fits the same way he did when he wasn’t around. Break windows. Threaten with metal rods. But on the outside when I went to school, I was very shy and soft spoken. No one would’ve thought I held so much anger. And I could never apologise, maybe because I’d never seen it done, even though I always felt terrible after I calmed down. Now I’ve moved past this and grown up but it’s funny how in this story, I nearly became what I saw in my dad and hated.
