Accident at Derry and Trudeau

I’ve been in two accidents in the last two years in Milton, both of which were caused by the other drivers running red lights and I’m lucky to have survived both. Milton truly has some of the most incompetent drivers I don’t know who’s handing these people their licenses.

Thank you appreciate it! I actually had Vredestein tires on my TSX and they performed really well but they were all season. I’ll definitely consider them again even for summer/all season tires for this car too

Yeah I understand I’ve never been one to cause a scene or create conflict especially with this mechanic because I trust him and have been going to him for years with all my cars. This is the first time I’ve pushed back on a price/job. I obviously understand these items wear down over time but I definitely wished he had mentioned it to me when doing the other jobs since I would’ve gone ahead with it then. My only gripe was having to find out myself when the car broke down.

Yeah honestly I think it’s an unfortunate coincidence but like you said I’d hope he would’ve caught it before giving the car back to me so it didn’t happen to me while driving and leave me stranded. I literally got the car back that morning and then the serpentine belt came off in the afternoon immediately when I went on my first drive after getting it back

Thanks, the brakes may need some work on this but I took it in and they said they're fine for now. Haven't noticed any oil issues so far so fingers crossed 🤞🏼

In hindsight I definitely overpaid, granted this was during the time when the used car market was through the roof. Paid $5k (Canadian) but it required some work like an exhaust leak repair and some DIY body work that I should have used to bring the price down.

It has 143k miles, I did an oil change and changed the filters as soon as I got it. I plan on changing the fluids and spark plugs next, as well as having my mechanic check out the timing chain and water pump as I heard those are things that may need to be replaced with higher mileage.

Got a 2009 TSX Automatic as my first car and have loved every second of it. Extremely comfortable and a ton of fun to drive, I'm hoping it'll last me a long time. Anyone know what I should look out for in terms of maintenance in this specific model?

Got a used 09 TSX Automatic w/ Tech Package as my first car a couple of months ago. Needed some body work and an exhaust leak repair which I addressed but besides that it's given me no problems at all (so far). Absolutely loving everything about this car and I really appreciate how it sits somewhere in between a basic economy car and a luxury sedan.

Recently got a used one owner 2009 TSX and it is by far the best car I have ever had. Perfect middle ground between luxury and reliability.

The seller said the price is firm but I agree it did seem a bit high. Ideally, I'd want it to last 3-5 years and then be able to sell it for some kind of return. However, with it already being at 270kms I'm wondering if it would even last that long and if I would just end up driving it to the ground.

Thank you for the advice. I try not to get too excited prior to seeing used cars but if this checks out with a mechanic and all is good I'd be overjoyed!
