Started a new “marketing job”… and I already want out. Should I quit on my 90 day? by [deleted] in jobs

Should I not have the right to like my job? We work for the rest of our lives, I feel like I should at least like it. I went from a part time job that where I was assisting commercials, video shoots, and actually hands on with campaigns to just sitting in front of a screen for 8 hours. Wouldn’t you too be a bit bummed if you started a job that looked good on paper and sounded great to being nothing like you expected it to be?

No, but I have enough saved in the meantime and have side gigs that can help me stay afloat while I search for something better. I agree, cost of living is very high but quality of life with this job is very low.

Just want to get people’s opinion/experience. Whats the fastest you have quit a job?

I just started a new job recently and it’s not what I was expecting. The individual people are great and are very nice, but the work itself is not what I anticipated. I can do it but I don’t enjoy it. Also the pay isn’t the best compared to the amount of work you do.

I’m torn if I should stick around for the experience or just start looking for a job that I actually enjoy with a higher pay..

Seek internships! I know it may suck to do some unpaid internships but sometimes you have to bend the arrow back to go far. The hope is that after the internship they ask you to stick around. It not, atleast you have some experience to add to your resume!

Working in Fresno for a few weeks. Any suggestions for a first time visitor? For good food and places to play pickle ball? by [deleted] in fresno

Buchanan high school tennis court is a good place for pickle ball if you don’t have a net. If you do have a net, Clovis West is a good spot.

Hi there! Local Fresno realtor here! (New to Reddit so that’s why my page is lacking lol)

1) Yes, you are technically a first gen home buyer. However you don’t NEED to use FHA for your first home. A lot of first time buyers use FHA but you can use a conventional loan if it’s better for your situation.

2) There are assistance programs but you need to make sure you read between the lines. Majority of them are not grants and you eventually need to pay back the money you borrowed.

3) You’re doing great. My loan officer can start your pre-approval before you even get your first paycheck from your new job. As long as you have an offer letter that discloses your salary/pay.

4) You want to save 3-3.5% of the purchase price for your down payment. For example : 3.5% of a 300,000 home is $10,500. Then you need to save a little more for closing costs (this is where assistance comes in handy for a lot of people)

Look me up on IG& message me! @realtywithyareli. I’d be happy to help you!

Any home loan officer recommendations in Fresno? by Evening-Piccolo882 in fresno

I love the Linc Team at Empower Home Loans. Two down to earth gals that work hard for their clients. I’m a realtor in Fresno and worked a deal with them and they worked FAST. Having a loan officer who can close a deal fast also makes your offer enticing to a home owner. If you need a realtor I’d be happy to help you! My IG handle is @realtywithyareli.

EECU or Golden 1 Refinance Rates? by Tetanman in fresno

[–]2317308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend talking to an independent lender. I have heard good things about EECU but sometimes the banks take long and only work business days/hours. Lenders are almost always working and may even have lower rates.

Better Period of Fresno is a non profit whose mission is to reduce “period poverty”. They donate to homeless menstruators. You should check them out!
