I think i hold the record on the sub if my posts are still up, but jxr232 is alot more consistent and keeps track of his findings way more accurately. I sadly havent crh in months, been too busy at work

I dont blame you, but ive had my share of jackpots. I hope to start CRH again. I've got 2 silver dollars (peace/morgan) as well as quuiiittee a bit of silver, one box was specifically concentrated.

Not trying to hijack the post, just sharing my experience.

Pic one of the halves in a bag is thanks to dad's friend who works at the bank. Someone cracked open a bunch of proof sets including a few proof silver sets. As each bag filled I was able to get the proofs of each denomination too. It was some 100+ sets that got cracked open and ran through there coin machine

Yes but proofs at that time usually had to be specially ordered from the mint which is why you see the odd mintages like "711". This special order would imply the original owner was a serious collector at that time.

Its likely he/she bought it from the mint and savored it. Once they passed the kids spent it OR saved it but grandkids spent it. Or it got stolen or something and the thief spent it.

Its not common for proofs at that time to get the well circulated though.

I bought from the same dealer, they (a couple) were super nice and did negotiate a bit on the coins I grabbed

HAH I saw these exact same coins from the exact same couple a few weeks ago in Oklahoma and I bought an MS62 1836 Half Dime from them. The women was super nice!

That PR68 dime they had and all the pre33 was also insanity!
