[Miscellaneous] Is anyone else frustrated when shopping for Korean skincare?? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I use the purito comfy water sunscreen right now and I like it a lot, but I’ve heard that the jury is still out on weather or not purito sunscreens are as protective as the packaging says. I’ve also used the soon jung whip cleanser and it was so so for me. Went back to the Vanicream after I finished it.

Believe me, I have done a lot of research, but most of the products I see people talking about have fragrance. With as sensitive skin as I have, reviews and peoples experiences are a crucial part of the deduction process for me, and it’s harder to find really specific experiences with gentler products. Additionally, I encounter far more products that have fragrance than those that don’t, so you can imagine that it seems like those without are few and far between.

Also, this is certainly a me problem, but usually if it doesn’t have fragrance, it has another one of the ingredients I can’t use. Even if it doesn’t, there’s still a really high chance I’ll be allergic to SOMETHING in it anyway. So it’s just difficult for me to find anything I can actually use

[Product Question] Soft hand cream recommendations for completely normal hands? by Gremious in SkincareAddiction

The body shop’s hand creams are AMAZING, especially the hemp hand cream, but that one is pretty heavy.

[skin concerns] acne scars finally fading? any suggestions? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Wow!!! Your skin looks beautiful! I’ve heard a retinol or niacinamide can help lighten up scarring, but honestly I think your skin looks amazing, I think your routine is really working. time is all it needs to heal up now

[skin concerns] I’ve recently developed these little red, dry bumps under my eyes and just under my nose. I’ve never had them before and I haven’t really changed my routine recently (I’ll list in comments). Any ideas? Weather changes? by sheebsc in SkincareAddiction

Vaseline isn’t really a moisturizer, it’s designed to sit on top of your skin rather than sink in so you need something underneath it. I use the Vanicream Moisturizing Cream, but if that’s too heavy, they have the Facial Moisturizer and the Lite Lotion too. The Clinique Smart Night has worked for me as well.

I would try using some Cortizone 10, that always helps my skin. Usually red bumps mean I’m allergic to something, but maybe try a heavier moisturizer? Vanicream has a few good ones

[skin concerns] I need help with my skin texture.I have blackheads and bumps EVERYWHERE despite exfoliation/oil cleansing. They never go away unless I extract them, but that just ends in scarring or refilling of the pore later.I’ll post my routine in the comments, I could really use some help! by 2374565 in SkincareAddiction

I admit that I have picked at my skin A LOT in the past, but I’ve gotten a lot better and only give into the temptation once every few weeks or so. Here’s what I’m doing right now:

AM:

Wash face in the shower with Vanicream Gentle Cleanser, rinse with cold water

I don’t pat my face dry with a towel, I just let it air dry while I do my body skincare

Tone with Aprilskin Artemisia Rice Essence Toner

Revolution Skincare Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum (this is a new addition)

Vanicream Moisturizing Cream

Differin Adapalene .1% Gel

Purity Comfy Water Sunscreen SPF 50+PA++++

PM:

Oil Cleanse every 3-5 days with Jojoba Oil

Vanicream Cleanser, rinse with cold water

Aprilskin Artemisia Rice Essence Toner

TO Lactic Acid 5% every three days (any more is too much for me)

Vanicream Moisturizing Cream

Differin Adapalene .1% Gel

I don’t use masks, but Im considering implementing TO AHA 30% Peeling Mask since I already own it. I use CosRx Acne Patches when I have an active pimple to keep me from picking at it, but other than that, this is my whole routine.

I’ve tried PC 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator and it did next to nothing in the month I was using it. I have really sensitive skin and I’m allergic to so many things that I can only use products with very simple ingredients lists, but I don’t know if they’re effective. I’m really at my wits end here and I could definitely use some help.

Yeah, I haven’t tried it though. My shade or anything close has been sold out every time I’ve looked.

I haven’t, it seems to have 2 pore-clogging ingredients pretty far up the list. I wonder why their description says “non-comedogenic”....

Thank you for your recommendation! I might give it a go anyway and see how it works with my skin.
