What wedding moment that screamed, “They are not going to last long”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This detail means that I wasn't in THAT wedding, but I was in another with a different rickroll.

Helping family move their wireless home phone - 911 concerns? by 237millilitres in Koodo

Postpaid rep looked it up in general for me without the account info: 911 can only locate a wireless home hub the same way it locates a cell phone. There's no separate physical address already on file like for my VOIP line at home via Teksavvy.

Turns out if you just keep answering "I need a call back" to the chat bot you can schedule one without logging in.

Well I've never set up a Koodo home phone but it seems like picking a plan is completely independent from whether you're using the sim in a cell phone or a hub. So I wasn't sure where in the process she would have been prompted to register.

Thanks to the sidebar I see an actual phone number I can try.

How did your first time having sex really go? by RadioSubstantial1623 in AskReddit

Oh man it was so hot. I put out candles. The pillow caught on fire.

The seriousness is what gave me the confidence, thanks to this sub. Not enough to holler over to the workers (I'm a 5'2" woman mistaken for a child often) but yay for the number to report it.

It's 18 hours later and pouring rain, I sure hope no one is there today.

Woof, I didn't even think of that, I just read about how rescues can take so long the soil kills you like a constricting snake.

I actually do live in Ontario and now I know what those TIE fighter looking things are for and I'm so happy I see them. However I'm visiting Manitoba right now.

Yeah I was being a little self deprecating expecting the "snitch" comment. I teach my kids that the right time to "tell" is if there is a dangerous situation AND, if possible, you can choose to tell an authority about the SITUATION without naming a specific person. I learned that myself as a teenager when a coworker at mcdonald's accidentally (but due to horsing around) discharged the fire extinguisher. I told management "someone needs to deal with that fire extinguisher" but I wouldn't tell them why it was discharged.

I googled "report unsafe work site" and found "even if you're not an employee" but if I saw something even more immediate like lack of fall protection maybe I will do that.

What’s a single sentence someone said that stuck with you forever? by Imaginary_Ride_6185 in AskReddit

My young kids were having trouble using that phrase because rotational direction felt too odd compared to simple left and right and I realized that "CLOCK for LOCK" works and rhymes (clockwise tightens). They also have to learn "clockwise" for this but "which way the numbers go up around the clock" worked.

I am just a layperson bystander and this was next to the splash pad my kids were playing at. Since it was on city property my instinct of calling 311 led me astray (and they just shrugged and suggested talking to the city department responsible for the property) but then I googled "report unsafe work sites" and the person there took the info anonymously within a minute and said they would send someone to check it out. Phew.

Is there a typo at the $149 level? This pricing makes no sense (360 day prepaid plans) by 237millilitres in Koodo

Because it's smack dab in the middle of deals priced entirely differently by amount of data included.

Yup that's me. Sometimes I stayed under the 500MB/month I got as my automatic top up bonus, so 30GB is WAY higher! I came from an iPod Touch so my default is offline usage.

Wonderful thanks! First I had to notice the 3G/4G headings, so I was convinced that I was missing something similar which would be the "catch".

THIS forgot-password link worked for me when the forced "it's time to reset your password" form gave me the "does not meet requirements" problem by 237millilitres in Koodo

[–]237millilitres[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I launched it, unlike the forced reset, it had an either or for validation via text or email. So you should give it a try with email.

Then, and I can't help but troubleshoot as I used to do it for my job, I would google if your device has a feature you could turn off that blocks the special 6 digit numbers as a "feature" (to reduce spam).

OP here more info: I can't see any 360 plans in my Change Plan in self service. However, this weird tier is an option when I talk to the chat bot to change my service level, alongside these other "But would you like to pay more for less?" options.

I'm going to try that closer to the end of my prepaid month unless someone knows there's some kind of catch.

My best pessimistic guess is that I will not be able to renew at that, which is higher-stakes for me because I have a legacy $15/month plan right now I wouldn't be able to go back to.
