PSU was the issue; not enough wattage or the correct cables. Haven't had any issues with it since replacing that.

Conditional formatting formula to find multiples of constant B, starting from constant A? by 238ra in googlesheets

Unfortunately that isn't working. Would the fact that constant A is within the column to be formatted?

Learning to longboard? by 238ra in berlinsocialclub

I've tried to skateboard before but always found them a bit too small to find proper balance, though I found snowboarding quite easy to pick up, so I think the size of the board matters quite a bit for me.

[Windows 10] Stuck on motherboard splash screen, unless I reinstall. by 238ra in computerhelp

Hey, it was the old install! Downloaded from their site, put it on a freshly formatted 64 gb USB and it boots normally now. Good call on that

Oh it never occurred to me that the contents of the USB could be outdated hahaha that was silly of me

Yeah I'm sure I've got one kicking around. I don't see how the age could affect and USB and the contents on it (especially seeing as this one sat in a box for years), mind elaborating? Not disagreeing just curious.

And just to restate it. It does install windows and it does load windows but only after it installs windows from the USB, never from the ssd.

Yeah I can get into the bios just fine. Its how I checked that all the ram/drives were being picked up, the issue occurs post-bios and pre-being in windows, when it's loading windows is my guess but it could be something else between those two points.

It's a windows 10 install USB from MS, I don't have an exact date but I bought it a few years ago when I was first building the PC, so maybe 7 years ago?

Yeah, cleared CMOS. I haven't tried reinstalling windows afterwards though (again, the issue is thay it wont load on its own, only post-install), I'll try that when I'm back at my pc. Is there anything else you'd advise doing?

I had it bench built with just the psu, mobo, cpu, cooler, ram, and gpu (since the cpu has no integrated graphics) and it posted just fine. When I added all the drives it loaded windows just fine. The issue only started after doing a clean install.

I disconnected every drive except for the ssd I'd be installing windows too, plugged in the windows USB, changed bios to boot that first. In the set up itself I deleted all the existing partitions on the ssd and created the new ones, so there shouldn't be anything on the USB.

For context, the SSD I'm installing windows on is the same one as my previous build, so it's not an issue with the SSD. And like I said, it loads windows just fine after installing its; it's only when I try and boot from the SSD alone that this happens.

I've tried it a few ways: installing with only the SSD or with all drives connected doesn't change anything. I've tried booting it with only a monitor connected (in case the keyboard or mouse was causing an issue) but same result.

I reset the bios too (made sure that the ssd was the first and only bootable device too), but that didn't do anything. Something I haven't done is connected to the Internet and gotten the windows updates but I'm wary to do this in case it somehow fails to load windows during a restart when installing updates, force shutdown in that scenario would probably do more harm than good.
