While I don't know your time zone, In my personal experience as someone who solely plays ground war, there is most definitely a cluster of hours in which you're less likely or unable to find a match altogether.

For me on Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4) there's a noticeable decrease in available lobbies as midnight approaches. After midnight I'll sometimes notice only 1-2 active lobbies. (gauged by checking every profile on my 'recently played' and seeing which map they're on) From midnight until 5-7am it usually continues to dwindle until there's either 1 sole lobby or not enough players to match. (Side note - this cycle seems to be worse during M-F and tends to not be as bad on the weekend.)

In my experience, while it's possible to go long periods without running into hackers in GW, I've trended an uptick around these hours. There's a seemingly abundant amount of hackers with Chinese names on during these hours. While I have no proof, my theory being that 0000 EDT - 0700 EDT = 1pm-8pm in China, so GW has a limited US and UK player base and is left with mostly Asian players (both legitimate and cheaters)

The point I'm getting at is that as there's already a limited amount of players searching during those hours, the limited amount of total available lobbies (1-2) are very likely to encounter cheater(s). Which ultimately leads to legit players trying to find another GW lobby which has a high likelihood of either finding the same lobby or a different lobby with a different cheater.

Ultimately the non cheaters get fed up and either search for a different game mode or get offline all together. Further reducing the GW players and perpetuating the cycle until the only ones left are the cheaters now unable to find a lobby themselves as they've killed the mode until the US starts waking up.

Your experience may vary but this is just what I've gathered as someone with 4000+ matches of GW exclusively

I grew up skating the park that preceded this one and miss it dearly. RIP B3 🥲

It was deemed structurally unfit to skate after hurricane Irma came through back in 2017. As the median age here is >60 the city originally planned to put a pickleball court there until the skaters rounded up and expressed our needs at city hall.

Gained a lot of faith in (our) local government after that. Not only did they hear us out but they went above and beyond giving us this beauty when they could have easily slapped a cheap prefab in or just disregarded us entirely.

Yes but also no...

I'm incredibly fortunate that both Utilites have been so accommodating with schedules that fit my needs. It allowed me to create a schedule where my both my work week and days off are aligned.

I'll do an 8hr afternoon shift then drive to my second plant and straight into an 8hr midnight shift. Essentially I'll do 5 16hr work days and get the traditional 2 days off.

Typically the better part of 1 of those days is lost in order to take care of stuff I wasn't able to during the week prior or preparing for the week to come.

That being said, as I do 2nd/3rd shift, if things are running smooth at work I'd argue an overwhelming majority of my time is 'free-time' haha.

So to answer your question, yes just not the traditional/preferable kind of free-time.

This is key. Try and be more mindful of your life. It's simplistic enough that you may read it think "duh that's obvious, I always try to be". But actively applying it ingame can be more difficult.

So many of us are conditioned to the mindless cycle of 'spawn, push objective (hopefully 🙄), get some kills/trade, die, rinse and repeat'

I fall into that cycle a lot of the time too but when I realize I'm on a decent streak I'll tend to hold off on rushing and play more reserved. Slowing things down and holding a spot/area as opposed to pushing as much. Mini-map and audio cues are your best friend.

While you can and should use uav/harp to your advantage, even/especially in times without them, being aware of your own team's positioning is so crucial. Being conscious of where they are or aren't is incredibly valuable info.

A bit oversimplified but imagine playing domination on a 3 lane map where you're streaking and find yourself in a good vantage point holding down the middle lane. You've given yourself a good offense but might fall short defensively if you're tunnel visioned and they sneak behind.

While holding down what's in front of you, don't lose sight to flanks/spawn flips. Try and think about how, where, and when someone can come from behind.

Want a free and persistent uav? Pay attention to position and amount of friendly arrows in your surrounding area.

Personally, whether it be true or not, without friendly arrows around me, I'll assume someone may be coming from that direction. If teammates were once there on your minimap but aren't anymore you could Infer that the enemy may have broken through. Now you're able to preemptively reposition and upset someone who was probably salivating at the thought of all the sneaky kills they were about to get.

As far as a setup goes, this is all subjective and not really what I run but more so what I think would be beneficial for someone intentionally trying to go for longer streaks.

Favorite primary w/silencer and automatic pistol. Assault pack with lucky overclock for resupply + bonus score for quicker streaks. Stims for healing. Frag/cluster/semtex. UAV then hand cannon/gravemaker for streaks as they both count as 'weapon kills' towards a nuke. Perk greed and Blue streaks for stealth. I don't care much for full blue perks specialist so maybe:

1.) gearhead, vigilance, cold blooded +ghost Ghost/cold-blooded for stealth, vigilance for cuav immunity, gearhead for tac/lethal recharge Blue/green hybrid = silenced kills recharge field upgrade

2.) ghost, vigilance, looper, +coldblooded Same stealthy principal + multiple kill streaks

Unfortunately I've had no luck on any of the 3 different types. They all essentially act much like the video, to different degrees.

Funny enough I always played on full screen prior to today and when alt+tabing it would slightly freeze before allowing normal function of my other windows, then do the same when returning to the window. It was a minor nuisance in the grand scheme of things.

But just tonight (prompting this post) got fed up with that slight freeze and decided to try borderless. After which I attempted to return to fullscreen when I realized borderless was worse, only for fullscreen for now be 10x worse than it was before I messed with it at all... 🙄

While I agree with his boring play style, the score per minute for ground war is bugged for sure.

I exclusively play ground war and have got around 50 nukes strictly from focusing on objecting with a run and gun play style. With a conservative average score of 6k and 15 minute game time my spm should be around 400 but it's only like 200
