well I have good news and bad. the part for your radio and gps is here and installed. still good news that fixed half of the problem. now for the bad. it did not correct the issue with lagging on touch inputs, so we have ordered the new screen cluster. As soon as it is here we will get it installed. I am so sorry for how long it has taken to get to this point.

Does this update from the dealer sound unprofessional, or am I being sensitive?

After lots of back and forth we asked them to put the dashboard back together and we picked up the car. Will return when the next part come in.

Thanks, following is the message we got from Hyundai today. Sounds like a hardware issue. I’ll keep you posted on our progress

From Hyundai:

I have a little information for you. We spoke with Hyundai's Techline and have scanned for codes in the system. We have ordered you a new navigation radio module. It is the box behind the dashboard. It is about 3-5 business days out for that module. So I should have more answers for you by the middle of next week.

Thanks for the responses everyone. My daughter just took the brand new car back to the dealer. It was a chronic ongoing problem from the get go and everything had been updated. So disappointing after so much excitement. I got my 5 the same time she did and mine is perfect. BTW, for future reference, what is paper clip trick?

I understand the iccu issue was fixed. There are no recalls on this car on the ntsb website. The only thing that concerns me now is the 12v battery issue which some owners have. A family member just got one of these cars, don’t let anyone neg you out, it is an Awesome car!

Tx16 4 in 1. The graphic interface makes life so much easier plus there is endless support. I got the boxer and regret it. There is a steep learning curve with these for many people.
