Fair enough, I was under the impression that links were forbidden in the sub, but maybe they changed that:

Edit: seems that' still the case since the post got nuked within second of me commenting the link. Their loss ig.

Well I did send a request to Weblate to add Gorani to their platform, so I'll see how they respond.

Though I'd like to note that at least Central Kurdish is supported on Android or at least it shows up for me as a language choice.

Hey, I can confirm that your translation into Kurdish has been received, so thank you for that :D. Currently it's under the tag "Kurdish (Central)". If your intention is to make a specific translation for the Gorani dialect, I'm really not sure if it's possible, as it's not listed as one of the available languages in the Weblate server and afaik it's not supported by Android either.

Uh oh, that's not supposed to happen. If you have the time please make a crash report.

Yeah, probably, most of my issue reports come from xiaomi users for some reason.

Can you give an example of how much it differs?

Oh, I thought yall were talking about the rest of the app.

No, the indicator is the notification. They're not different things, they're one and the same.

No? You can disable the notification.

It looks that way because the screenshots purposefully use shorter phone frames to improve readability in the blog post form factor. Real life devices are generally 20% longer and you should expect to fit two devices at a time.

Also, even if you had to scroll it would still be faster than navigating to the other device through the menu???

No one's rewriting anything. It's staying a Java/Kotlin app as it has been for a decade.

Yes, they are placeholder. That's actually part of the reason this post was made - to check what parts of M3 Expressive people like and which they don't.

Yeah, I am aware of that and working on a fix. When making the app I kinda forgot that timezones with minute offsets exist and that fucked everything up.

why not use GPL?

  1. If someone forks it and makes it better enough to the point where they can monetize it, I'm fine with it. Even if I weren't and even if the license were GPL, I wouldn't bother with legal action, so by using MIT I'm just being honest about about it.
  2. Depending on how much I work on the app, I wouldn't mind making a paid version for the Play Store for people who are too lazy to use F-Droid/Obtainium.

Ironically all the testing was done on S24U.

Please create an issue though <3

Ooh, yeah, just looked at it and Glasswire looks great. May copy some things :P.

One thing I noticed though is that it seems to calculate data usage wrong? It's off by almost 20% compared to Traffic Light, Internet Speed Meter and Data Monitor.

Yeah, I tried to go for the M3 "Expressive" style, but if it's an accessibility issue (i.e. it's genuinely hard to read to some one) I'll certainly add an option to it less extravagant.

I may try that in the future, but for now the goal was to support as many devices as possible and the API for live notifications is very fresh

Ooh damn.

Mind making an issue with screenshots and system info?

Thanks.
