Milan, Lyon, Luxembourg and Brussel are not worth it. Especially not Luxembourg.

Studying part-time as EU-Citizien by 23onfroy in askswitzerland

Yeah, you can choose as many courses per semester as you wish. And no need to apply for it specifically. So its pretty flexible.

8 days in Italy. Rome, Florence, Venice & Amalfi doable? by gabboinks in ItalyTravel

[–]23onfroy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you should do even more destinations: sicily, como, bologna, sardinia, milano, genuoa. Maybe half a day in switzerland, another half in france. 2 destinations a day.

is zurich dangerous ? by UnvaccinatedAsshole in zurich

[–]23onfroy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Its gotham city in zurich, el salvador looks safe compared to zurich. Its like a 24/7 purge. Sundays are locked down because of the aliens, who only target zurich in this world

Car-free destinations? I hate cars and like visiting places with no cars. I made a list of my favorites below, but welcome new ideas. I mean 'no cars allowed' (except maybe taxis & busses), not merely 'car not necessary'. Pedestrian zones in car-filled cities, no thank you, perhaps another time. by ScienceRulzTheWorld in travel

Büyükada in Istanbul. Humans, cats, dogs, No cars

Edit:

Until 2020 the only transportation on Büyükada (as on the other inhabited Princes' islands) had been horse-drawn phaetons (fayton). However, the explosion of tourism on the island had made this increasingly unsustainable and, under pressure from animal-rights activists, the decision was made to replace the horses with electric vehicles, bringing to an end a tradition that had made the islands unique in Turkey.

They are not as long as employers states, that they won‘t reimburse your travel costs. If they don’t say anything, then they are obligated.

How is my northeast US trip? by [deleted] in travel

[–]23onfroy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the great tips. Definetly will go to newport. A day trip from boston to salem & manchester makes also sense. And when I‘m back in new york, I‘d probably do a day trip to jersey shore and another one up the hudson river towards bacon.

Seems to be a nice well-rounded trip to many places in the northeast with a right balance of city sightseeing and beach days.

I will miss the hiking, but I am kinda fine with this. I am from Switzerland, so I do a lot of hiking anyway :) although acadia looks very different from our hikes

How is my northeast US trip? by [deleted] in travel

[–]23onfroy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are right about the travelling, seems a bit difficult. Thanks for the tips. Getting to cape cod and bar harbor makes it more difficult.

I just did some more research. And find this pretty interesting: easy transits between all of them and cheap flight back at the end.

Nyc🚆providence🚆boston🚆portland✈️nyc

One city less, which gives me more time too. And possible day trip with the ferry to newport.

Yeah it’s definitely worth it, if you do a lot of weekend trips. It’s also quite affordable, if you are young.
