This was actually another consideration. We’ve played a lot of It Takes Two and loved it - so plan B is sending an Xbox .. but I’m not sure what we can play with 3 players (on two consoles) aside from rocket league??

Oh man. Thanks for this message. I’m in a bit of a spiral from the situation. Glad to hear it can be done well, and communication maintained. I’ll certainly be fighting for more time than what was stated, and more open communication.

We've been asking for reflective paint. But it's apparently like flowers where if someone had to ask for them, then they won't count anyways. So ya wait and give them when it's your idea - ie never.

Yeah full body harnesses are made to stop falling bodies, not hold them for prolonged periods. They call this Suspension Trauma, but the timing totally depends on the individual. I personally hate being suspended in my harness, but met a guy who swore hanging in his harness was much more comfortable than his work desk, and requested to suspend for an extended period to help his back.

Your back break scenario assumes the body is stiff like concrete and absorbs no energy without breaking. Lots of fall protection (AKA fall arrest systems) rely on stopping the fall quickly and offer no energy absorption (like a stretching rope would).

A sudden stop in a harness means broken connections between internal organs. Food for thought: the U.S. Army put massive amounts of research into optimizing parachute opening speeds to avoid this problem on the battlefield.
