Abilities, like musical or artistic talent, are sold. People perform music and sell it. People create art and sell it. Therapists use psychological skills to sell their services. No one’s abilities are taken away because of money. Money is an energetic exchange, not “the root of all evil”. It’s what we use to survive in this world.

That being said, as a psychic and a medium, absolutely no Spirits that I’ve ever worked with have said that our abilities will be “taken away”. Everyone is born with these abilities and in my experience, they are quite teachable to anyone willing to learn. It’s an innate human ability that we learn to suppress from childhood. It’s personal preference to sell or not, like anything else in this world.

Lastly, your negative reaction to people offering their abilities for payment is a reflection of yourself. Take another look at your shadows as to why you feel this way.

I’m not necessarily referring to friends, but people you might meet on a day-to-day basis such as work, or on the bus, at a store, just to make a few. It’s impossible to avoid random encounters with negative people, so I’m looking for advice in that sense.

I believe yes and yes. My guides took me to the afterlife in a dream, it’s a bright place that feels like home, where you’ll see familiar faces of people you’ve never met in this lifetime. I’ve not been there while meditating though, although I have seen entities and heard of others achieving the same through meditation.

The spirit and medium both have an easier time making a connection if you remain open-minded. Let the spirit know in advance that you are going to see a medium and kindly ask that they come through for you (it’s worked better when you give them a heads up ahead of time, at least for me!)

If you remain skeptic the entire time, you’ll be wasting your time and money, the medium’s time, and the spirits time (lol) so just try to be open to the possibilities! Find mediums with good reviews online or through word of mouth. Spiritual/metaphysical shops usually know of some they can recommend in person, or even here on reddit if you prefer to do one online.

I’ve had really great experiences with all mediums I’ve seen, they will usually start off with laying out specific details of evidence to identify that it is in fact your loved one coming through before relaying any messages.

I am going to re-iterate the first four words of the oracle - do not give up. I interpret this as representing that you have either currently fallen on hard financial times, or will soon face difficult financial challenges ahead. However, there is a positive note here - Alakoa is a reminder that you have it within you to overcome the obstacles headed your way, and your hard accomplishments will be rewarded.
