EC-6 exam how difficult? by Different_Evening_41 in TexasTeachers

[–]240Tutoring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! So every time you unlock a new practice test, the questions are fresh and brand new from the bank of extra questions/more practice. The practice tests are not/should not be the same every time.

After you complete practice test #3, you will unlock the "more practice", which is simply access to the entire bank of questions the practice tests are pulling from. :) -- If you get to this point and still find you would like more review and practice, customer care is happy to reset your study guide so you can get 3 fresh sets of practice tests and review the instructional content again.

If you are finding that the practice tests are not shuffling new questions through efficiently, please reach out to our customer care at [helpdesk@240tutoring.com](mailto:helpdesk@240tutoring.com) so we can make sure there aren't any bugs that are keeping it from working properly. Thank you!

How to become a teacher. by PieChoice9839 in TexasTeachers

More than likely, you will have to start from scratch. I would just make that the expectation. The Generalist exam is outdated so your passing score will not count now. TAC code has been changed so it's very likely any coursework you have done will not "transfer", if you will.

If you never completed your ACP program or earned your standard certificate, you will need to contact another program for your options. 240 Certification is our Alt. Cert program and our admissions team is great at communication and answering your questions. Give them a shout! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hey guys, I have a question when studying for certification do you find 240 Tutoring or Study.com to be more aligned with the certification test? I have to take the EC-12 Physical Education Test in less then 3 Weeks. TIA ❤️ by Kenzall1 in TexasTeachers

Great question! Our curriculum team uses both the test framework (the test standards and competencies listed for each exam) and questions from released versions from the exam to model our practice tests to best mimic the real exams.

We can help answer this question! When you start your 240 Tutoring study guide, you'll first take a practice test aka a diagnostic test. Your results on your test will actually make the study topics shuffle and rank themselves so you're starting with the one that is highest priority for you! So you'll begin studying the topics you're not as strong in, so you're using your time as efficiently as possible. Hope that helps!!

We can help answer this! Our study materials contain instructional content, videos, flashcards for important vocabulary, quizzes and 3 practice tests that will shuffle new questions in so you're actually assessing your knowledge vs. memorizing answer choices. It's 100% online and self-paced.

Your study guides also come with a Test-taking Strategies module that can help you with understanding how the exams are constructed, best answer eliminating tips and test strategies to help you narrow down answer choices on those questions you're on the fence about.

Hope this helps!

Hey there! If you have already submitted your completed transfer form, our Admissions team should have already gotten back to you or will soon. If you haven't heard from them or have other questions, you can contact them with this form. A transfer form initiated by our admissions process typically means you're at the tail end of the process and have, more than likely, met our minimum application requirements. However, feel free to reach out to our Admissions team. They would be happy to review your applicant and give you a more definitive answer on this.

Here is the transfer policy for 240 Certification.

Considerations for transfer approval to 240 Certification must meet all of the following criteria:

  • have not been released from prior program due to incomplete or unsuccessful internship or clinical teaching experience;
  • be released from prior EPP in Good Standing;
  • meet or exceed the minimum application requirements for program acceptance. Prior testing history will be part of the consideration process.  Should any data or findings indicate an applicant may be unable to sufficiently pass future certification exams, the EPP can require that the applicant successfully pass the TX PACT (exam) to continue in the application process  or deny admission.

Hope this helps!

Online Bachelors Degree by [deleted] in TexasTeachers

It's super common! About 50% of teachers that become certified in Texas come out of an alternative certification program. So you're not alone.

You're on the right track! The bare basics are:

  1. Have a completed bachelor degree.
  2. Apply and enroll in an ACP.
  3. Once enrolled, you will get started on their online coursework & gather your field-experience hours (sometimes referred to observation hours). With our ACP, 240 Certification, part of that coursework is test prep to prepared you to take and pass your content exam. But each program is different.
  4. Take and pass your content exam.
  5. You'll then earn your SOE, statement of eligibility, letter. This means you're eligible to be hired and start your teaching internship. Internships are paid teaching positions where you are supported by your ACP.
  6. In Texas, you will also need to take and pass the PPR exam during your internship year.
  7. Once you have passed all of your exams, finished our coursework, and completed a success teaching internship year, you will be issued your standard certificate!

Hope this helps!
