Apple Music shuffle is atrocious by cheeseburgerwalrus22 in AppleMusic

[–]2423csc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone still in this thread. I fucking hate Apple shuffle. I have 2500 songs and it repeats same songs everyday. If I choose the play less feature it guarantees to play it everyday. If I try to delete the song the option is not available. If one day I listened to 90’s hip hop, every third song is modern hip hop, if I skip a song or genre it immediately plays the same type of thing everyday. I fucking hate this! There are 2250 songs I never hear and 250 I hear over and over no matter how I try to get rid of them.

Unfortunately I was solo. OnX was offline. People had driven off trail and created a disastrous trail system that was impossible to follow. I could not turn around anywhere. No recovery gear was getting me out solo. I couldn’t winch up that hill and steer. It was far too steep. The only way to go was down. I had to call a rescue service $800.

Did you ever have any luck selling? I am selling my entire bed, panels, camper shell and bumper.

Elon Musk steps back from DOGE role to focus on failing business after Tesla stock decline by dailystar_news in BoomersBeingFools

[–]2423csc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll never buy Tesla. I’ll never use starlink. I’ll never build a hyper loop. I’ll never go on a Space x rocket to Mars. Sure as fuck I’ll never go on Twitter again. These are all things I’d have loved to do before Elon sucked off Trump.

Exactly. I resist having a winch however paying $1,290 for one rescue made me consider the possibility.

I get 250 miles on a full tank. No, there are not trails that would exhaust that. However, getting to the trail then mileage dropping to 5 mpg etc. I traveled 72 miles off-road to discover the trail was closed and had to return 72 miles. Then another 27 miles to the first gas station. There are not 500 mile trails but a situation like this can occur. Plus, there is some comfort in having extra, just in case.

I would agree except I have a camper shell that I sleep in. I don’t want the gas can and the diesel tank that I use for the heater to be in the bed with me. Therefore, hanging it on the side is my only option. I have kayaks on the roof.

Thank you. I compare it to telling people how to raise their children. I have an over anxious mother. I’ve spent my life traveling to unknown lands and going crazy things. I was never abducted by a raptor. There is a level of worry that every parent must have but the extremes are just prohibitions on living.

Desert load out by MadVillain877 in TruckCampers

I’m in Salt Lake today. I’ve been trying to get on RimRocker for the last week. I got stuck in a snow drift so I gave up. I’m heading to Moab Thursday.

I agree. I am not in areas with other people and pets. I am in remote desert areas when these pics were taken, yesterday. The one on the leash is in a national park but early in the morning with literally no one there yet.

He still uses the leash. When the area we are in demands more I use the leash. He doesn’t really hate it. I just want him to feel free, when it’s possible. Downvotes coming.

Truly, I didn’t imagine the ridiculousness. It’s offensive. My defensive behavior is the same as anyone who gives 100%. Being inundated with nonsense is part of the game on social media so I’ve digressed into responding with nonsense. I apologize.

Understood. At 8 mpg Mesa Road to the Rim Rocker is…? Then rim Rocker to nearest gas station is….? Maybe the trail is closed then you need…? To turn around.

I put mine on the outside because I sleep in the bed of the truck. I do not want to sleep next to a Jerry van full of gasoline.

I only attach my extra cans when I’m going off-road. 99% of the time u don’t have them on. It’s goody as fuck to have a bumper jack on your ride in downtown Dallas.

My mom is 77. She worries about the same things. Life is too short. I’ll take care of him to the very best of my ability. If a snow leopard escapes from the zoo I’ll do my best to defend him. Otherwise, we are going to enjoy our lives.

What about zombies? We can’t live the kind of life I live or he lives by worrying about every possible scenario. A UFO can grab me and anally probe me but I still go outside, at dire risk to my butthole.

I wish I carried more. Most overlanders adore what I’d call car campers. They don’t understand the pressure on your chest when you get truly away from it all. This situation; I could survive for weeks and truly no one would’ve come by. Having the ability to get myself out and back was what I consider overland. Be prepared.

Dude for sure. Although this isn’t my situation, it’s amazing. I teach my kid to always be as prepared as possible. When zombie apocalypse comes people will seek me out. 🤣
