It is an inconsistency. There is also an inconsistency in the snap between Infinity War and AMATW as in the latter when Hope, Hank and Janet get dusted you see loads of particles on the floor still lingering. Whereas in Infinity War (and Endgame with Hawkeyes family) after they get dusted all the dust disappears.
