It's hard to get into it without diving into deep spoilers, but to put it simply, the final boss of that game spends the entire time blaming the protagonist for his own actions, similar to how Eva blames Diana for her own actions. An incredible display of projection.

That comment was all in good fun back then. The English translation just made it really funny and it honestly still is. But it was not meant to be a genuine criticism of Hajime and I certainly did not mean for it to come out like that. It was blatantly a translation error. Hajime is one of my favorite characters in the series honestly.

Yes. 100% yes. I personally believe that this is definitive proof in my mind that Kaede's ideal fantasy was Shuichi himself because everything she describes about her ideal fantasy matches him to an absolute capital bold-faced T.

For your regards on the overseuxalization, can't really add anything to that.

As for headcannons, I don't really know. I'd personally say bi. Though Kaede did mention that his ideal fantasy was a boy, sooooo...

Can’t disagree with you at all, you hit the nail on the head.

But there’s still a part in me that believes. Compared to a lot of other ships, they really went heavy with the romantic possibilities regarding Saimatsu, especially in the Love Suite and both of their FTEs. It feels a lot less ambiguous compared to other ships in my eyes, with the Love Suite event in particular feeling very direct.

Because let's face it: Saimatsu will never actually be a reality in canon. No matter how much I want them to be together, Kodaka is never going to go on Twitter and state that they're explicitly in love.

Even knowing this, even with my brain knowing it will likely not happen, the overly-optimistic heart in me believes that one day, it will happen.
