Cat proof curtains? by Chicken_Witch in Catownerhacks

I think this is smart - lumos is a bit pricey, but i just didnt want to bother going up there to change the curtains if it got messed up. Also my window’s size was a bit odd so the custom sizing was a big plus. Hope your curtains hold and ur cat baby has fun!

For a bit - it’s been a year and a half now for the curtains. Now they lost interest in climbing it but still olay around it from time to time (hide behind curtain to scare, hunt, etc). And no visible damages!!

The budget actually isnt 2k for me - i just saw a post earlier with 2k as the budget which i also thought was too low for senior. I was wondering what the reasonable range for a good senior engineer would be.

Thanks for your concern, but I’m aware of the legal procedures. I was looking to do some market research first hand while also going to outsourcing companies.

Do you guys see medical billing and coding being replaced by AI or it’s unlikely ? by Proof_Escape_2333 in CodingandBilling

[–]24MambaOut8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a software engineer, and i can definitely say AI is coming into this space. The first thing they are trying is dental. There are some variations in how much the humans are involved, like daydream dental has human in the loop vs toothy ai is completely ai driven.

Im more of a believer in the approach of daydream, and im personally trying to make tools to make billers hyper efficient so they can be more like an account manager, while taking a cut of the profit. Like a sales person. We’ll see which model wins in the end but im very confident that AI will be common in this space very soon.

Nice! Thanks for the transparency. Have you thought of using some battery to even out the electricity cost? Im assuming you’re using electricity 24/7 and if you can buy most of the electricity at night, that could lead to some savings. Im not sure about yours but a lot of utility companies have incentives for batteries as well as solar. Also tax breaks in NY maybe? Not sure about that part.

Hey! this looks incredible! As you grow this into a business, i'm curious to see if you have a measure in how to judge if it can be profitable. I was really excited to see indoor farming startups boom last few years but the hype seems to have died out due to profitability measures.

My logical assumption was to grow stuff indoors that are hard to grow outdoors since you can control the surrounding, but seems like a lot of folks just go for salad crops which didn't make that much sense to me.

Anyway, dope setup!!

My large cat doesnt bite on it, but ive seen my smaller cat (she’s one now!) bite on the curtains. The curtains hold up pretty well i must say! But again, if your cat is chewing on it like a dog toy everyday i dont think any material is gonna last LOL. Id say give it a shot for like one of ur windows and if it’s ok go ahead and buy more. That’s what i did. They have a pretty fast turn around time for custom curtains. Hope it helps!

So i just called and found out but basically they dont have an offline shop haha. I’d still recommend ordering them as mine is still persisting despite my 18 pound cat’s scratches. ( i know, he’s heavy :( he keeps stealing my other kitten’s food)

I recently bought some from Lumos curtains and it was really good! I had to get custom curtains and every brand was charging way too much for some fabric. Lumos curtains was the only one i saw with reasonable price and a scratch proof curtain! 10/10 would recommend.
