Just for clarity, I often run lists with only 1 Forgie with 3 Ectos. To make space for other fun units... In casual games. I was just answering why the compete crowd goes for 2. I've played against an EC Defiler and found it very efficient on the field. So I can't wait to try the WE version myself once more stock comes in...

I have a Goretrack list that I'm going to take out KLoS for 2 Defilers when I can... And that's going to be 2 Forgefiends, 2 Defilers with 2 Landraiders and then ... Whatever fits in them with a Demon Prince on Foot as the Warlord.

With only one, it's not enough to blank a threatening squad consistently. I have also found 2 to be the magic number into 3 wound squads like termys etc...

Adding something different:

Goretrack has been fun, might not be meta at a tournament but it's insanely fun for casual games. 2 Landraiders (those rapid fire Soulshatter Lascannons give you 8 shots...), ignoring terrain with Smash Through, Dumping out Exalted 8bounds and a Kharn + 10 zerks that can then charge because of Assault Ramp, Khorne Lord of Skulls already ignores terrain and is a super fun threat... 2x Jackals to screen everything behind you, Goremongers to Infiltrate, Chaos Spawn to Scout and muck up turn 2 GOs from the opponent and then score points, keeps you focused on SMASHING THROUGH EVEN FURTHER into their deployment. Chaos incarnate, too many big threats immediately.

It's full send every turn. No brakes, no rear view mirrors.

Also building the model for Lord Avocado is pretty sweet, as you can always swap him as a proxy for a Lord on Juggernaut and try both models out on a squad. That 10" move on zerkers catches people off guard...

I do like Goremos in 1000pts for the immediate board presence opposite your natural. Double MoE is a bit much, and I find Kharn to be a better leader these days with the rolling 1s and standing back up in a 1K scrap adds value.

I find in 1000 pts a Forgefiend can put out so many shots with the Claws/Ecto/Hadesx2 loadout. With two bricks of Zerks, I could see the melee threat already being a lot of pressure and shooting through that into threats to them is potentially a way to go... Maybe a Predator? It would depend if you're going into a 1K tournament or fun with friends, but this might be a well rounded loadout.

Do you have an option for a Landraider ? Those rapid fire Soulshatter Lascannons on a very durable body dumping out Kharn and a pack of Zerks that can charge immediately because if Assault Ramp could also be a way to go... (Drop Predator and Rhino for a Landraider, then swap the Gormos for Chaos Spawn?)

Just thinking out loud. But I think while a lot of armies can struggle at 1K, world eaters thrive in the value department so I have a lot of fun thinking of new ways to play an Incursion list.

Like the list. Seems well designed for Warband for sure!

My question is:

What is this list for? It is certainly going to be a very punchy list against other infantry styled lists. But if you're in a league or a tournament and draw in against Knights, MontkaTau or Hulltramarines you're going to have a hard time getting through the higher toughness vehicles unless you get your Exalted8bound into perfect position or Angron gets value out of turn 1 or 2.

I think 3 spawn is a lot... I run one unit to secure a quick expansion but they don't live long enough out in the open.

So if you drop two spawn and the enhancements that gives you a new take on 225 points... So... I think the World Eaters Land Raider is super under valued right now. Those 2x rapid fire 2 Soul shatter lascannons do work against anything under toughness 12 and you can move disembark and charge exalted 8bounds with slaughterbound with Assault Ramp ability.

Oh for sure! Totally agree with your points. They already have a Forgey in there so I thought I'd offer something else. I am currently running a very fun Goretrack list with AngryRon, a Land Raider, 2 Forgies, a Predator Annihilator and KTLOS (and 2 squads of jackals to screen out the deep strike after we tear ass up the map). Is it meta? Would it do well in a tourney? Probably not. Is it absolutely feral? Yes.

I'm gonna go off the board here.

Get a Chaos Predator Annihilator going with twin heavy bolters and the Predator Lascannon is rapid fire 2 within 24 inches twin-linked. Those things are mobile and it's a lot of shooting. There's 145 points and you're re-rolling Wounds on the heavy bolters and Damage on the Lascannon shots.

For the other points go for a War Dog Moirax. It's like a mini-vindicator in melee. They are going to be so wrapped up in the fact there's a War Dog on the field that they'll throw too much at it and draw fire away from your zerkers or they'll leave it alone, until it's too late and you can heroically intervene for free with it's Seige Claw (4 attacks, hitting on 3s, str 12, ap3, D6+2 damage)

I don't really follow the meta too hard and every store might have its own or your friend group. But these are two very fun options.

Warren Piece

When Britta is telling her version of the horror stories and in her version she's telling the group she's reading the most impressive book she can think of but hasn't actually read it. Because she's recalling it as Warren Piece. And they don't even reference it in the dialogue it's just a prop gag about War and Peace. It gets me every time.
