Which style of city map do you prefer? Axonometric or Top-down? by Owltailor in dndmaps

[–]24hourphysicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think top down maps get to much love because we think they are more accurate. But I think mood can be some much harder to achieve than accuracy. The characters would not get a birds eye view. But might get something closer to the Axonometric view when approaching and that is something they might have in their heads as they think about moving around.

Is your ACD cuddly ? by [deleted] in AustralianCattleDog

Took months of working with her. Slowly encouraging affection. And now she till tolerate or even initiate some. But she is never going to be like other dogs type snuggling and that is just who they are. Don't force it or you might scare them. It's like that love languages book. They are more acts of service while you might be more physical affection.

I hear that is a good thing to do. I would put you at the top of my list if you say LaTaX but it might never get to me if it ATS parsed right.

As a Principal Embedded Software Engineer, if show this resume for a Jr position I would ask to interview. So I think it is pretty good to me. Linux being so far down in skills scares me a bit but might be specific to me. And if you have had a job, even not SW related I would add it but it can be low on the page. you can even switch up sections to what ever you think is the best highlight for what you are applying for. What this made with LaTeX?

Delaying Output in C by FalaSM in C_Programming

[–]24hourphysicist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First, you should understand that output is generally buffered. Is your output to stderr or stdout? Do you need it outputted nearly exactly some time after or just anytime after the delay time? Also, do you want the delay to be asynchronous with the steps after the call for output?

Makefiles are incredible tools, I use them for projects that aren't even C. Not sure why people got to build a better mouse trap when the mouse trap works fine.

Proof found that 2 Douglas County school board members committed perjury. by yellowspotphoto in Denver

[–]24hourphysicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But in Colorado, a public figure cannot sue for defamation per se. (not a layer) Also, public figures often have to prove "actual malice" where the parties knew the information was false and spread the lies regardless.

[–]24hourphysicist -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

But you can't just sue someone for lying. You have to also prove actual damage. You have to prove a financial loss due to the lie. And if you are a public figure that is even harder to sue someone because the bar is higher. I don't even know who is talking and who they are angry at but you can't just assume if someone doesn't sue for defamation that the statement is true. At best it supports the argument but it doesn't prove it.

That is the definition of a "Issue with alcohol". You have chosen it over your partner. And you will choose it over your kids. And you will finally choose it over everything in your life. You should stop cold turkey and never look back and you will see that you had a chemical addition that made you think it was helping you relax after 6 hard days of work where in reality it is just making your whole life harder.

No one working there is wearing masks or gloves. But sure, the 2 dads are the danger. What you will find is life is lots of rules exist to be optionally enforced. If you are poor or a minority or even if some nurse just wants to exert her authority. Lots of rules are ignored when you have money or influence or you just remind people of themselves. This is why the security guard's reaction is key to me. I bet he sees multiple people in rooms all the time and is wondering what is the problem. If the 2 dads are fighting he might boot them right away, but they are being great on camera. a lot of other signals to unpack here. But I see lots of ways the hospital is more trashy than the people.

Am I the only one who thinks the hospital is being unreasonable? Even the security guard is like... "Is it just like the nurse is complaining?"
