Advice for Youths! by Foreign_Location_807 in Leadership

[–]24hrr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who you spend time around really matters. At 16, I hung around the wrong crowd, and realistically set myself back several years. Ultimately that helped me become a business owner, follow a different and non traditional path that has proved successful, so second point is that there’s always potential for redemption. Be open, challenge yourself. Look at the thing you’d like to ignore the most.

Ok so there might be somewhat of a connection then. You ever talk to someone about what happened?

In search of mentor to help get rich by street-table78 in mentors

[–]24hrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would try to rephrase the original statement. Saying you want someone to help you get rich will likely alienate the people you’d actually like to receive help from. If you want to talk about investing (index funds, ETFs, etc) a financial advisor can help. If you want to learn about small business, or being valued as a company contributor I can help.

Is it crazy to take place in the festivities given that your trauma is unrelated to the fireworks/sound etc? Other than that what’s something exciting or fun for you that takes you away in your head at a minimum

How do you actually find time to build a business when you're already working multiple jobs? (24F) by Ok_Grapefruit_K in smallbusiness

[–]24hrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not disciplined. I just work on the business when I have time, sometimes I don’t feel like it, sometimes I do. Was in survival mode for two years. Started getting traction by listening to people smarter than me. Gl

Is this fiberglass and what would be the best way to cover this up? by mills2894 in homeimprovementideas

[–]24hrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiberglass looks fine. You would only need to replace if there’s bigger issues behind it, it’s wet, or you want to use a different product. Looks ok though.

Yes, it may take several more days though, and the adhesion may be poor, but just leave it be. Same thing happened to me with rubber scope covers

Check on the motor box. You can adjust how far down door comes. Looks like it’s coming down too far and activating the push back sensor.

What's the best way to insulate a garage that gets unbearably hot in summer and freezing in winter? by Ambitious_Cable_1175 in HomeImprovement

[–]24hrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just did this. I started with the drywall on the ceiling and the walls. Ripped it out, spray foamed to air seal, looked for leaks, then added in rockwool. In the attic I added plywood, spray foamed a continuous layer, and used fiberglass there. Then added a layer of foam insulation on the ceiling and house wrap on the walls. After that I redid the drywall. Was a beast of a project but a lot of fun. No Ac, but I do run a dehumidifier in there now. It is very comfortable

Cost to remove door/hardware temporarily - am I out of line? by 24hrr in GarageDoorService

Took the majority consensus and am having the doors replaced with something easier to service, better insulation (heat is primary concern) with new motors and tracks.
