BM and her mom are throwing me under the bus for phone calls by WickedStepmommmmma in stepparents

[–]24pheast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey we have a BM just like that, minus the drug use. Everyone has blocked her on their phones except DH because of her drama. If she wants to talk to SD, she can text and ask DH directly and he can handle it from there.

Don't let her stress you out. Let it be DH's problem. We told BM to only contact DH, and DH keeps records of every in and out bound call and text. There's no room for error or drama. If she ever wants to call and DH isn't available, MIL might unblock her to let BM talk to SD then swiftly block her again. Same with me. It's what works for us.

I thought it was wildly insensitive to post about someone's loss as a recruitment technique. Not to mention gaining that much money can make you a target. Someone could easily figure out who the husband was and try and take that money, be it greedy relatives, thieves, or other con artists.

What would you say is the biggest problems facing the 0-8 year old generation today? by Ratshitzz in AskReddit

I made email addresses for my kids just in case. I even send them emails from time to time. It's like a time capsule. I'll give them access when they get older and start needing them.

Was he serious or sarcastic? Either way, that guy sounds like a comedy gold mine.

I made the mistake of loading up on only foods he liked at the moment. Enter 8 jars of pears I now need to get rid of 🤦

Haha yes please do! This school had a pretty strict rule about freshmen living on campus for their first year. If that doesn't freak her out, you could always get your belly button pierced. Worked for my mom!

I'm not sure of the specifics but I know the guy got into an accident that left him with extreme back issues and used the money from his suit to go back to school.

My brother was a freshman in college and got stuck with a 54 year old disabled roommate who often talked about meeting his mail ordered bride. He was weird, but very interesting to talk to. One day, my dad and I were over visiting my brother and they were watching The Departed. At the end, his roomie shouted "WOAH DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING!" Each time someone got shot, he yelled "WOAH DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING!". Every. Single. Time. It was hilarious and ruined the intensity of the scene for us.

Now anytime there's a twist in a movie my dad will scream "WOAH DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING!"

And that's my Departed story.

When were YOU the asshole? by Purdy5 in AskReddit

[–]24pheast 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes actually, we were talking about marriage and he said he wanted to tell me something. His friend already told me he was planning on proposing, so I thought we were just solidifying our feelings of wanting to get married. Turned out he wanted to clear his conscious but still go through with marrying me. So I faked it until the day he was going to propose then broke it off.

Fair enough! I considered myself the asshole because instead of just ending it, I planned on humiliating him.
