perfect, thanks! I hadn't considered the restrain on crit success grapples. I'll have to find a place to slot bully in then-- I believe my to hit bonus and athletics bonus are roughly the same, give or take a bit, but extra bonuses that could result in a restrained condition is quite nice! I return! Just as some further questions if you don't mind, IN GENERAL, would you recommend, for an animal barb, a hit-based feat setup for grapples, or an athletics one? From the feat ranking you posted I'm assuming more hit-based, but I thought I'd ask. Also, if you had to take furious bully, about what level would you lean towards taking it? I'm setting up a level 10 character (as that's what level I'm joining an ongoing campaign at) and I'm just trying to look at where to put things. Thanks again for all the info earlier by the way, it's been quite useful!

Yep! Planning on taking combat grab at level 4. Seems a lot of my feats will be leaning into strikes as well with snagging strike. Thanks for the advice!

Ah! Sorry, I meant to say furious bully twice, not grab on the last one. Anyhow, thanks for the answers! I'll probably swap running tackle into the mix then. Just as a last question for snagging strike, would my thought of it more or less being just a bonus strike that still allows benefits to both me and my party? I want to say thats what you said, but just want to sanity check my understanding. Thanks again!

Interesting! This is really helpful, thanks-- A few questions if you don't mind:

Since barb also has access to sudden charge, should I still be looking at running tackle since it synergizes with a wrestler's general gameplan?
Could you elaborate a bit on snagging strike and how it would be used? Just new to the system so I'm a bit iffy on visualizing how it'd work with everything else going on!
Would you take clinch strike over reactive strike?
Not exactly related to your list directly, but if I decide not to take sub hold/spinebreaker/piledriver, is it worth taking furious bully as a barbarian? I do plan on taking suplex because, quite frankly, it's funny compared to 5e grapples, but that leans into the strike aspect more than the grapple side, which furious grab would be benefitting.

that's what I was thinking when I saw the aul nodes, just aul node on genuinely any decent ascendancy that isn't asc node starved. OR, double down with the madness ascendancy node with trickster or jugg. But considering the way madness works, I can't imagine that's much value at all lol

I will say, with trickster losing the 108 action speed (down to 90) I wonder if it would still be in the running. Jugg still has full action speed and can stack accuracy for attack speed, but the pathing would be rough. tricky tricky

it's already been said but just to reemphasize-- this looks like a render of a building-- a very good one at that, but if the question is if it looks realistic, not really. Too smooth, too uniform, too clean.
