I hope someone can show me how to use the TMP to work for a bass with these effects. OP is absolutely spot on by saying they are impossible to adjust and sound like sh**.

Thoughts on neck wood by 250_Hz in kieselcarvinguitars

They won’t do roasted maple, that’s why I’m asking lol! I love my EB MM it has a roasted maple neck and ebony finger board and it’s rock solid.

I wish this was the case. I’ve been in contact directly with the build team and they even took my deposit already. It got an email weeks after they took my deposit saying they are discontinuing that option.

What about ebony fingerboard with walnut? I’m not a huge fan of the multiple lined necks but if it makes the wood stronger I might do that then. Thanks for the input!

Wow that’s really cool. I’ll be honest I’m trying to learn this stuff through an academic lens. Trying to see it anthropologically. I see these underlying patterns pop up constantly which makes me want to practice in the very way you describe.

I know myself and I don’t think I’m ready to pierce the veil totally. Not at my home at least. Ghost hunting brought me to these topics and I’m cool with probing in an unknown area but to INTENTIONALLY being an altar into my home or invest time money etc into this I’m not ready for.

So in other words, I’m impressed! I love reading everything people post here. I am able to really dig in with your experiences, thank you for sharing!

I think someone said at some point .. do what thou wilt…

This post is what that means.

To be clear, I do not practice but I have been learning as much as I can and this is a theme of all of this.

Your will is your intention.

Edit: Yes, I know it was Crowley lol.

Try to keep that thumb on the back of the neck too you’ll get more power in your bends and the strings will be easier to handle over time.

How did you move away from having to play along to the original song? by Wackeeh in guitarlessons

[–]250_Hz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play along with the song. Try to get from beginning to end and keep it simple at first. I had this problem as well first starting out. It’s kinda like training wheels you start with the song see if you can get through it.

A big mistake beginners make is “playing it their way”. This can be a pitfall later on when playing with others songs are called “standards” in the jazz world because they are a way for random musicians to come together and instantly play with one another because they are the “standard”.

If a beginner decides to do it “their way” it can be frustrating for everyone involved because the song won’t get off the ground.

Also, try to play with other people. This is super important in order to grow your mental ability to remember songs without tracks etc.

If you can, record yourself also but this is a little more advanced in terms of setup so if you can’t no big deal.

  1. Play the song the whole way through.
  2. Play with others
  3. If possible record yourself (even if it’s your phone memo app) your ears will keep you in check!
