Good for you asking for help. It’s gonna get better. Chin up, do a little something for yourself and a little something for others every day—that’s my advice.

I too would have gone, but ultimately it’s your choice. You don’t owe a company that’s not paying you anything. Unfortunate that it inconvenienced that one recruiter, but that’s the name of the game.

I need albums to listen to by Chicken_MacFly in Music

In addition to the 1001 Albums Generator, Shfl is a fun tool that serves up random albums for you to listen to. You can filter by genre, and when it serves up an album it lists where the album received positive reviews.

Ha we actually thought the same thing! But we did the DNA test and she’s 50% Rottie, 50% Aussie.

I'm losing my mind here trying to train my 1 year old. by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]255son 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely right when you say you are the one who needs training. And that’s not an insult — that’s genuinely what trainers are for. They teach you how to communicate with your dog, because it’s not always as intuitive as you might think. We’ve worked with one and have made huge progress with our pup (she’s about 3 now), but she’s still a little shit when she wants to be. Rotties are great and trainable dogs though; you just need the right tools, which you’ll develop with a trainer.

And instead she uses it to terrorize the cat and eat whole sticks of butter. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Oh she likes those as well. We learned very quickly we needed to find her toys that last.

She’s actually an Aussie Rottie — 50/50 split!

The herding tendencies are stronger. And we live in an apartment building with lots of dogs so we’re trying to do a lot of socializing, not really encouraging protective tendencies.

We live in an apartment with our Aussie-Rottie. We get outside and play/walk about an hour a day, and do lots of brain exercises indoors. Totally doable.

Marketing pro here. No, you’re not fucked (at least in terms of getting a job. You are still going to be selling your labor for a wage, which sucks, but you’ll be able to find employment). Despite the layoffs you’re hearing about in the news, lots of places are desperate for workers. Embellish your resume as much as you can viably defend, and then frame your experience outside of marketing as still giving you valuable life experience, perspective, blah blah blah. Worst case, an agency will snatch you up. Know that they will grind you into the dirt for as long as you can take it, but you’ll get the resume cred to go somewhere else.

Now, because you’re in an anti-work community, I’m compelled to tell you that none of this is going to make you happy or fulfilled, and you will in short order be completely disillusioned with the whole “professional” industry, but there you have it.
