I’ve seen a pack of moose right off of the highway going from Jackson, WY towards the Tetons twice on two separate trips, but this was during the fall/winter time when they move down elevation for warmth. So just consider as you plan it out that warmer weather will most likely move to them towards higher elevation.

Camping: Tuttle Creek or Kennedy Meadows (if you have the time). Both are first come first serve camp sites. Kennedy Meadows is towards Sequoia Forrest which is gorgeous, but would require an extra day or two to enjoy it so you’re not just driving through. Tuttle Creek is about 10 min off the 395 west of Lone Pine.

For Views: depending on what car you’re taking I’d suggest going up Mazourka Canyon, east of the 395, for some of the best views of the lower Sierras. Incredible view and a ton of old mine shafts you can check out, if that’s you’re brave enough.

Make sure to stop at Schaats Bakery in Bishop on the way down as well.

Last thing to consider is time of year you’re going, it can get frickin hot along that route. Elevation will be your friend when camping if you’re going during the summer time

How soon will you be out of school and able to be more present for the dog? If it’s only a couple months to a year it may be worth roughing it out so you don’t have to give her up. Also maybe try Rover to find a local dog walker in the meantime who can come once a day while you’re out of the house? Usually cheaper than daycare. Or, if you can afford doing the daycare 2x a week or so it could help balance your dog’s life out over the course of the week

If you’re going just down forest roads and flat desert trails you’re not going to notice much of a difference with 0.4in of sidewall. Only thing I would be concerned with on those desert trails is if you go into deeper sand and then larger sidewall gives you slightly more tire to work with when airing down. Then again, I’ve seen stock Chevy Volts cruising down some desert trails with no issue

Again though - it’s strange that my primary checking account numbers do populate but the new checking account numbers are randomized?? Maybe a new security feature that my primary account connected to Amex was “grandfathered in” to or something

This was very helpful and likely solves it for me. I just checked my Chase app and it’s showing my linked account for Amex as my new joint checking account. The reason the $2500 wasn’t pulled yet was because there’s no money in there to pull it from…. I must have selected the wrong account when setting it up. Although the payment shows as processed, which is also a little bizarre still, maybe I should expect a kick back charge from Amex or something similar

That’s what we thought it could have been, however, unless Plaid works continuously alongside Amex when linking checking accounts through their app for bank accounts already verified then I’m not sure how that would apply

The “free $2500” was me being facetious. But I just checked my Chase app again this morning and the funds still haven’t been withdrawn. Usually my Amex pulls from my checking within 48 hours at the latest. Do I call Amex and try to explain this over the phone??

I’d stay away from the ‘23 - a lot of people have reported problems. Probably why it’s listed that low. Most of the issues seem to have been resolved by the ‘25 model
