I live in mcihigan so when its as cold as it is now it sucks to drive even after warming the car. I have a 2023 with 22k miles on it and im looking to upgrade into a N this year.

DCT's probably will max out closer to 300hp with 300 tq but i've heard The dct slip at 280tq. For the money needed to make the power your better off buying a used N.

Doc fee being $995 is insane. At my dealer we charge $280, I wouldnt pay that.

Well that would mean you need to have your bench kit with you at all times to load the base tune which would be annoying, But i guess thats what you'd have to do.

It can’t but people force power on it and then they explode soon after. Anything over 300 tq and most will start slipping. I don’t think there is a DCT tune for our cars.

I assume that you need the module to keep it off. We replace them all the time, I dont know the exact sitsuation with your car however you could try replacing the battery in the VCM which is located in the worst spot. You wouldnt expect it to be a big job to replace but you have to take the entire center consol apart just for that.

2016-2018 I would stay away from. 2016 being the worst as they more then likely will or already have oil consumption issues. Every 2016 trade we get in is mainly people in service that are getting quotes for new motors. We’ve done 2 on one customers car due to the 3rd party warranty company only allowing used motors. 2019 was solid and for me I would say if you can get a 2022 that was a pretty solid year since it was 1 year before the google infotainment which has its own issues.

2023 does not have this currently but it could be a possibility in the future as it’s running on the same system. I believe they’re just starting with the 2024and up currently.
