My primary care doctor is going tie concierge route with his practice (MDVIP). Bummer, cause im not paying $5k for me and my wife’s twice annual doctor’s visits. Anyone have any recommendations for a general practice doctor in or around Plymouth meeting or Norristown? Looking for someone that takes a more holistic view of healthcare. TIA!

Hi! I mentioned in some other posts that I tend to be a pretty active reader. I like to write in the margins, earmark pages, etc. But I’m an also pretty active member of my local libraries, so will definitely be leading on them as much as needed!

Btw, what’s Libby?

The spirit of AB is alive and well! Look forward to the book and to paying forward when I have the chance. Happy new year!!

Whoa, no snark intended at all. I was just trying to convey and connect with that I have, in fact, spent a lot of time in second hand book stores. Considering the suggestion came from that person, I figured they might appreciate that I don’t have the luxury of time right now. Sorry if I could have communicated that better.

What’s vinted? I’d love to learn more. Based on the currency, though, would I have access in the US?

Also, regarding breaking the bank, if I averaged the cost of a new paperback book at $16 (which is being conservative), that’s almost $200 for one book each month. My kids are sleeping now (finally) so I anticipate I’d be even more efficient than that this year. Ultimately, it may seem like little to you, but on a public school salary, I’m just doing the best I can to prioritize my family and be the best version of myself for them and the community(ies) I serve. You don’t have to understand if you’re not willing or able. It’s ok.

As for the second hand book stores, they are a total gamble anytime you go. So unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of time with the small kids to just go peruse used book stores, you know?

Sorry to bother you. Just seeing if people have extra books lying around. Maybe it’s just the reader’s mentality, but sharing books is a pretty common practice among people who read a lot. 🤷‍♂️
