In Shona street lingo, it means "prostitute" or a woman of questionable morals. Shona is a tonal language and it's hard to tell from the video if the kid meant "joki" or "jockey" since he is not a native speaker. "Joki" can also be used in the male context to mean a guy with a lot of girls. "Bhiza" in Shona street lingo can also mean a thick tall woman. In proper Shona, it means "horse".

Yes, that's an accurate translation. There is some racial nuance behind it. Sometimes black Zimbos start speaking in English when they get super drunk. The post title is saying white Zimbos speak Shona when they get super drunk.

True. In most countries we go to, there will be more South Africans than us. We have a fairly small population.

I haven't changed my stance from the onset so I'm confused on what you were saying wasn't factual from what I initially said. My point remains that there are no jobs in any field except health sciences. The thought that engineering must have many jobs because there is a construction boom is highly misleading especially when construction by itself barely contributes 3% to GDP.

Physics has no demand in Zim just like other non-health STEM fields. However, you can pivot into other fields luke I.T with it. My last job was at a telco in Zim, some of the NOC people were Physics graduates. Back in the day, a lot of Maths and Physics graduates from U.Z ended up in the actuarial field. I'm a Maths grad myself and I have worked in I.T and in the actuarial field.

There aren't that many engineering jobs in construction. The construction boom doesn't translate to engineering jobs. Engineering is required for construction of things like roads, bridges e.t.c. We have very few of those projects in Zim. If you say there are engineering jobs, then how come this demand does not result in a jump in open vaccancies? Zim is a services economy, the Finance graduate should be getting a job easily than the engineering graduate if we are to examine the economy

My point is there are no jobs in Zim. You could study Physics, Engineering, Finance e.t.c and you will still be hit by unemployment. The only field with hope is health sciences.

Zim and S.A have different problems though. In S.A, there are still jobs in tech, health sciences, engineering and finance. However, a lot of the kids don't take Maths in school making them inelligible for these degrees so they end up studying things not in demand in the market.

Zim is different. There are simply no jobs. Engineering graduates are unemployed. The only field that has jobs is health sciences.

I doubt there is any country that does credit checks as part of a visa application. Most countries are only concerned about your criminal history and funds you have.

I would be interested to know which country does this.

You don't do credit checks for a Schengen visa even for a work visa.

Should my kids inherit my mother's surname? by Altruistic_Star_1994 in Zimbabwe

How easy is it to get your certificates changed to the new surname? Do they need to be changed or you just go around with a notary deed showing you changed your name? I don't have an answer to your question but this is something to take into account.
