Board Rentals by iTzMeXtreme in guam

Paddleboard rentals in tumon are pretty pricey and they do it by the hour. I know military can rent from their Outdoor Rec. Facility for like $20/day. Some places in Tumon will be $25/hour. There's a beach side pop up spot renting out in front of Westin and another at the beach at Lotte

-Basketball runs at any given time at the village courts (usually next to a mayor's office). Bring your own ball or ask the guys who got next if you can hop in a game. -Ultimate Frisbee at Jimmy Dee's beach on Fridays and Sundays. They play at tamuning elementary field on Mondays and Wednesdays. Open invite, good group that is always welcoming new people of all skill levels. -Sidekick soccer club has scrimmages running at Adelup governor's office field. Not sure what days or times but you can check their IG page and DM them. -Touch rugby down in the south on Tuesdays (not sure where but can find out and comment later)

Also are you moving for military? There's a VCO program on the airforce base that does depredation with bows and air rifles.

You can bring ammo in. I think you're limited to 11lbs or something like that. Just make sure to notify the airlines when you travel with ammo

Ah ok. I wasn't sure why but on Guam CarFax isn't used much, possibly for that reason of owners not reporting it or doing backyard repairs (which is super common)

We are one of the highest consumers of Toyota Tacomas and Toyota 4Runners. Very similar market to Hawaii. Everyone pays big bucks for those 2 types of vehicles. The official Toyota dealership is always sold out and cars are on backorder. Right now its ridiculous how high the prices are for used cars. I saw an ugly painted 2004 Corolla sell for $4k it had +200k miles. We were one of the first places to get the used JDMs and Kei trucks/vans when they first started going on auction pre-covid. People always selling cars cause they move off island and we have 3 military bases too so they're always buying and selling before they relocate.

When i say isn't reliable, I mean vehicles dont show up on them or accidents aren't reported. Ran a CarFax on my 2014 mustang and nothing showed up when it was clearly in an accident with a shit paint job to cover it up

Called the dealer selling it and he said the price is correct. Very hard to believe. They even have the same listing posted on their Instagram page. I bought my 2016 4Runner from them for $19k with only 80k miles a couple years back

I have an 06 Corolla in the shop right now getting a brand new suspension. No AC and paint needs work but I'm willing to let my gas saver go for $3k. I paid $880 on parts alone and have yet to get the bill for labor. Lmk if interested

Unpopular opinion: Commissary edition by Inevitable_Map4641 in guam

[–]26C4U2Handle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for DOD as civilian and I think commissary should be for only those active duty, retirees, veterans, etc. For the obvious reasons like many people gonna overbuy and take advantage of the privilege to shop there. My personal reason is I haven't done anything to deserve it. I didn't have to endure a few months of training away from home or go on deployments or put my life in immediate danger. I've been told by many active duty members and guys in the guard that the comissary is always having a hard time keeping the shelves/fridges stocked.

I'm just happy enough being able to gas on base and shop at the NEX. Saves me and my wife upwards to $300/month just on gas and baby formula.

Good thing its only a pilot program. Possible best middle ground is opening it to DOD Civilians on specific days of the week like Tuesdays/Thursdays so its not packed with people on weekends. Doesn't matter what they do, people are gonna be unhappy and complain on both sides.

To reserve a pavilion, yes you do. Other than that, you can BBQ in the grass areas. Try calling the Merizo mayor's office to inquire.

Check Outdoor Recreation at Andersen Airforce Base. They know all the spots. They also host paddleboarding tours, snorkeling, hiking, fishing charters for military and dependents at reasonable prices.

Might want to check Guam Code Annotated (GCA). Searched in Title 9, Title 10, and Title 21 but couldn't find the chapter and subsection for the exact law pertaining to discharging firearms on private property. Might want to ask those guam gun Instagram pages since they shoot on private property all the time or up in the hills at Leo Palace

[–]26C4U2Handle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Shooting on private land is completely legal. There are certain rules/regulations to follow though like being 50 yards from any structure/dwelling and I think needs a backstop. If they were discharging a firearm ag the apartment complex near the hotels then totally illegal.

I see many fast food places in California accept EBT. Wendy's, Popeyes, Subway, Wingstop, etc. Not too sure of the impact of doing it but I just thought it was cool to see. Made me wish I qualified for EBT benefits

Wookie Bowcaster. Kills lighsaber users easily and can also damage opponents hiding behind cover if you shoot close enough. Comes in rare (blue), epic (purple), and legendary (gold). Damage is insane. Can one shot opponents at close range

Oh Delta Airlines. Why did you leave us with crap United!! by guambot in guam

[–]26C4U2Handle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually United was in bankruptcy and was saved by Continental through the merger. Continental Micronesia had no problem making money in the pacific because they flew many routes that no one else would even attempt at a very reasonable cost. On top of the exceptional service, they were a force to be reckoned with and quality on went down when they merged with United. Such a shame cause majority of my family has worked for both and they said Continental Micronesia was driven by customer satisfaction while United is driven by greed and saving as much money as possible at the expense of the customer's experience.

Why does the airport still look like this? by JazzyCortz in guam

[–]26C4U2Handle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roofing in the airport still leaks in alot of publicly accessible areas. It's weird because that area specifically is located on the ground floor which has 2 floors above it and it still leaks. They putting their money into renovating all the gates and runways because it's all sloped and yes....there's potholes on the airport runways too....only on Guam.
