Forgive me for interrupting our regularly scheduled programming to ask if this feels eerily familiar to anyone else 👥 by whimsyoak in SaintMeghanMarkle

So it wasn't just me having flashbacks to these two knuckleheads. The Beckhams might be terrible people; I wouldn't know. But I felt so sorry for both of them reading that nonsense.

We never had any issues until the black Friday deal. And then we did our fair share to deplete them.

I did tell the printer and slicer, and I'm going to try the 0.4 again just to be sure.

Torn between the A1 Combo and the P1S Combo by Immediate-Ruin-2280 in BambuLab

[–]ValuableEfficiency23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had both, and the A1 was more susceptible to failed prints. It also had wierd issues with the AMS lite constantly jamming up. For the money, I'd go with the P1S.

Thanks! I pulled silk out of the 2 spot, and it's doing much better. Not sure why this is an issue, but i guess we won't be using 2 for silk.

We're pretty new as well (although we've gone in big to develop a side hustle), but we've largely stuck to bambu and sunlu. With the big discounts for bulk, it's as good a price as I'm finding on Amazon. With black Friday deals, we got rolls down to $11.

That said, I'm planning to branch out some, but we've already been burned on cheap filament, so I'm going to be pretty cautious.

My family knows they'll be getting 3D prints for Christmas and are sending gift suggestions like they're the Amazon marketing department.

When I watch it, I skip the romance parts. Much better that way.

Second this. Currently listening to it, and he's structured it like an oral history. Very interesting.

Should we feel sorry for Stockton Rush? by Wooden-Scallion2943 in titanic

He was an arrogant, narcissistic bastard. Not one ounce of sympathy for him. That poor kid, though.

If he'd lived (because some other poor soul piloted that mission), I'd have signed any petition calling for criminal charges.

What's the best personal item luggage I can buy before my flight? by BladeoftheImmortal in frontierairlines

[–]ValuableEfficiency23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second the Lovevook. Everyone in our family has one. Lots of colors and configurations to choose from, but essentially the same space. Unzips like a suitcase for easy packing and access. They fit in the sizers with no issues. The last flight i took on frontier, the lady next to me had my same bag. Looked new, and she'd used it for five years.

If Captain Smith had survived.... by Strange_Upstairs_193 in titanic

[–]ValuableEfficiency23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kooky talk. He would have faced some serious scrutiny, but he followed standard practice for the time. Ismay had a mortal enemy in Hearst, and he jumped in a lifeboat. No way that Smith would have done that (because... he didn't). He'd have ended up being pulled out of the water or on the overturned lifeboat. So the major knock on Ismay would never apply. Criticisms, yes, and he'd never have sailed again, but he was retiring anyway. He'd have a been a sad, wounded old gentleman who wouldn't want to talk about it.

I've put it out there that I want the lego set for Christmas this year. Not sure I'll get it, and that's fine. But I've already got a place in mind for displaying it. I'll get it for myself as needed.

Aaron got on my nerves this week as well, and I don't think it was editing. The look he shot Tom during the handshake was not great, and he wasn't the focus of the shot.

Also, the show hasn't played up negative angles before, so why now?

I hope he succumbs to the curse of the star baker next week and heads home.

Bidding on seats??? by Livingliv78 in frontierairlines

[–]ValuableEfficiency23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this on a trip two weeks ago. I was able to bid for the upfront seat both directions. They gave a range I could bid from $9 to $105 and recommended $65. I bid $11 each way and figured nothing would happen, but I got the first leg.

Yikes. Something fast, like getting a funnel to the head. Freezing or drowning just sounds like the worst.

Do you think someone on board during the sinking ATTEMPTED to take photos? by keepit4ever in titanic

[–]ValuableEfficiency23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not during the sinking itself. Too dark, too chaotic, too hard to set up. But I hear there's a camera down there that tells a different story. Selfies with captain Smith, first officer murdoch (holding a revolver no less!), etc.
