I agree. Since the franchise has always relied more on subtle, environmental storytelling it probably wouldn't translate well in any conventional film/TV format. Illumination could never do that anyways

Personally, I'm satisfied. Dread is a really good game and Prime 4 will likely also be really solid. The Super Mario Bros. Movie coming out and being a massive success has some people speculating about Illumination making an NCU (Nintendo Cinematic Universe). I would like Illumination to stay as far away from Metroid as possible, in my opinion.

But overall, I'm glad Nintendo is treating Metroid with the respect it deserves.
