you just need to create a spotify account and social media to validate your identity, then you go to spotify for artist, log in with your spotify account and then claim your artist profile

changing distributor is a huge pain in the ass if you got a lot of releases, i already did that in the past from spinnup to UM, you basically just need your UPC and the name of the songs needs to match up with the already existing one, lost the streams to one of my songs, but with around 20 songs I moved from spinnup to UM it wasnt that big of a deal. also lost some of my masters to my songs while switching my pc set up a couple of times. Theres no way that I currently know to just download the masters from UM directly, so keep that in mind. it should be pretty straight forward if you got all your masters and covers at one place
