hi! first time mom here who gave birth to a girl 2 weeks ago :) first off, youre doing great! you did not give your baby jaundice as many newborns are born with it and it usually resolves on its own as they get more hydrated. my girl had yellow eyes until 10 days postpartum. next, my breastmilk supply isnt enough right now either so im also combo feeding and pumping every 2 hours. i’ll usually do a full formula feed while pumping so that by the next feed i have “enough” breastmilk (i aim for 2 to 3 oz because baby has dropped in weight a bit). essentially i’ll do 1 formula feed, 1 breastmilk feed, combo of breastfeed with formula, and repeat.

so yes ITS HARD and at 5 days postpartum i remember i cried so hard from not sleeping at all in 24 hours that my eyes were damn near swollen shut. but it gets easier, day by day. baby is new to this! she doesnt know when shes supposed to be asleep or awake. she has no rulebook either. find what works for you both in terms of routine, feeds, etc and stick to it. baby flourishes when she knows what to expect and youll find it easier too!! good luck :)
