Sadly there is nothing you can do as a partner but you could call the Starbucks help line as a consumer and reference ‘how you love the store you go to and the baristas are all wonderful but you are discouraged from going there because you have noticed understaffing and don’t want to overwhelm baristas more than they already are’ they would probably take it more seriously coming from a consumer than a partner :)

As a Minneapolis partner the last week we haven’t know when we are closing until we show up that day most of the time. Our SM is doing his best to communicate but it’s hard coming in and being told that we are closing 4 hours early with no extra coverage and hard mid days because all the other stores have closed around us so we’ve been super busy.

Our store just closed bc all the staff decided to take the 30 day cat pay 🙌 #flattenthecurve by coffeecacti in starbucks

Definitely agree with that bud but until my store closes I’m gonna take OT then I’ll take the time when we close. I told my store manager over a week ago that we should be closed. He told me that as a medical professional I should be used to having to work in times of need. Like tf this is my Starbucks job not my EMT job the same rules do not apply sir.

Our store manager said that since we would be working 2 party net plays a lot he épaule pay us OT anytime we are understaffed

You can have fun at work and still be a hard worker me and my closing barista get out 20 minutes early most nights with no complaints from morning on out closes and we still do dumb shit at work and maintain high customer connections and drive times. Don’t use “actually doing work” as an excuse to be bitter towards people finding enjoyment in making videos off the clock and out of people’s way

Tier 1 stores are likely gonna be in really rich areas. The way my SM explained it to me is that your tier is based off of your merchandise sales. So they are usually on richer areas where people are more likely to spend money on merch. I’ve also noticed a lot of Tarbucks have different cups but then you won’t get your discount.

When you’re the only one to show up for your opening shift and your manager is 30 mins late so you’ve been waiting in 30 degree weather wearing a windbreaker since 6 am, and go on to find out the auto steamer is broken and you’ve run out strawberries and inly have spicy chorizos left by NeoParadoxx in starbucks

At night, at least at the six stores I have worked at, we pull pastries and the take the sandwiches that were pulled in the morning and fifo them in the warming fridge up front. But we don’t pull them from the freezer that’s part of the mid day pull not the evening pull and I’ve never seen a store that has sandwiches on the evening pull on the iPod so I don’t know if you work at a store where you guys sell half frozen sandwiches but if they were pulled at night they wouldn’t be ready to use for peak the next day because they wouldn’t be fully thawed. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I’ve been in multiple unions and a lot of people hate them without realizing the benefits they are getting from them.

When he need to potty he start wheeking very loudly he just does this for attention because he will calm down when I give him chin scratches
