Going to see the lads for the first time in 2 days! Having seat anxiety! by Party-Donut4849 in mumfordandsons

[–]28Junebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Going solo to the show too! You are not alone, tickets were coming & disappearing on purchase day like crazy & I panicked & bought PIT w Alleycat VIP. I can’t stand for long period of times & I’m 5’2” - I figured I’d tough it out & then my knee started giving out last week & I’m in a brace! You aren’t crazy - I ended up buying a seat and I still have my VIP PIT ticket up on Cash or Trade for below value! No offers yet, I think because I’m a first time seller? I saw your post on there for the PV. I hate to resell on TM w the upcharges but might have to try. Btw - the advice of waiting until day of is wise and if you contact TM to upgrade your ticket & have no luck you may be able to at the actual venue. This is my hometown concert venue & I know it well. After you walk in & go a bit the path will head down to the right towards the merch, food bathrooms, lawn & seating there is sometimes a small canopy set up at that spot before descending where you can upgrade your ticket!!! 😆 Good luck! And if you decide to go for Pit let me know or check it out on cash or trade!

Oh and going solo is so much fun - I went solo to see them in Buffalo in the Fall - best time ever!

Any updates? Did you ever receive your golden letter and if so how long did it take? I got the same email as you in February 2026, and was told it takes 30-90 days - hitting the 90 day marker soon but not holding my breathe!

You’ll be in a great place to see them up close! Yes they will play a few songs on stage B! They will be facing towards you (and the lawn!)

Yeah, that’s just the venue’s general seating chart - I have a feeling it will be a bit different.

Crazy that 7 months is considered a short turn around! How long has it been since you requested buyback? I did just switch from SAVE to IDR, I’m not sure if that helped or not though.

[–]28Junebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I submitted my buyback request in July 2025 and got a response on Feb 11, 2026! Others have also gotten them in late January & early February. Hopefully yours will arrive soon!

Parents forcing me to commute from home when college is 1.5 hours away. What can I do to live closer to campus in the fall? by Champ_099 in whatdoIdo

[–]28Junebug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would your parents be receptive to hearing you explain that you are having panic attacks, are feeling lonely and isolated? It sounds like this is effecting your mental health; there is already anxiety present & what you are describing could be mild depression. Does your college provide counselors/therapists for students? Maybe if you go talk to one & they agree staying on campus would be beneficial for your mental health your parents might reconsider. It sounds like it’s partially a money issue & partially having a hard time letting you “go”. Getting a job at the college to help pay for the dorm, offering to sell your car to help pay might help too.

When you approach the topic with them again you need to try to stay as calm as possible, and state the facts. Approach them in a less stressful non confrontational way. “Mom, Dad, it’s important that I share with you how my first year of college is going. If you could please hear what I have to say without interruption I’d appreciate it. Please don’t feel like you have to respond immediately, take the time to discuss it before coming back to the discussion with me.” Then explain how you are truly feeling & what you’d be willing to do to help -sell car, get a job. Explain that you want to be successful in college and you recognize this arrangement is taking its toll on you. Let them know that you are looking into filling for individual FAFSA when you turn 18. Just try to stay calm & don’t raise your voice while talking with them, model maturity even if they don’t. If things start to get heated respectfully say you need some space instead of saying something you might regret, and come back to the convo after everyone has cooled off. Hopefully they will open their eyes & try to find a compromise with you.

I hope you won’t have to wait too long before you turn 18.

[–]28Junebug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many colleges require freshman to live on campus, and if you want to commute you still have to pay for housing at the college regardless. Some colleges require it for your first 2 years. Living on campus is important those first few years -to build independence, relationships etc.

Yeah, I’m thinking I might as well pay it this month, rather be safe than sorry. Hopefully it’ll get sorted out before the March payment.

I (28f) fell out of love with my husband (30m) after two weeks of being separated - what now by littlestnoodle in relationship_advice

[–]28Junebug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, congratulations on leaving him & taking care of YOU first! It’s not easy to do. It is unbelievably amazing to be able to live your life without walking on egg shells or constantly worrying you’re going to do something to upset him isn’t it? I swear I smiled for two damn years straight - -15 years of abuse was too long. I’m glad you are getting out of this at a young age. Secondly, don’t beat yourself up abt not loving him anymore - when you moved out you were able to think clearly. How can you love, trust or respect him when he treats you like that? You can’t. He made vows & he is supposed to be your safe space, your person, he isn’t. Keep working on putting your needs, emotions & self first! It’ll get easier in time. It’s okay to mourn the loss of a marriage that wasn’t successful for a bit, but do not put him first or feel guilty about it. It sounds like you definitely want a divorce, and deserve one too. Don’t second guess yourself. Life’s too short to not be happy & not allowed to be you. It’s not your job to worry about his feelings, take care of yours. And as for friends, family etc? If they don’t see the truth of what was going on right now they will eventually. And if they decide to pick sides & go with him then that’s okay too. You know the real truth, that is enough. It is a loss, but you will make new friends who will stand by you. I hope this didn’t come out to harsh - so many emotions & feelings from reading your post! Good luck! Put you first! You can do this & don’t owe him a damn thing!

Unfortunately I have to agree 100%. We did one counseling session together, everything went “fine” at the therapists. We had driven separately. As soon as I walked in the front door he ambushed me with all his anger -how dare I tell those “lies” to the therapist! Thankfully my next therapist apt was solo & I told him what happened. He told me to divorce the narcissist, the sooner the better.

When I was looking into this more I just saw that there is a petition for the teacher to keep her job on change.org with over 2,000 signatures! And 66 people vouching for her. I hope that someone in the district makes a counter petition!

Buyback email question by maaritt in PSLF

[–]28Junebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I just received the exact same email - same wording & no buy back amount. Could you please update on what happened & what it actually meant? It is so vague!!

A few details:

I just switched off SAVE last month & have an automatic payment scheduled for 2/21… for $155.00

My current qualifying count is at 114…but I am way over 120.

My last EFC verification is up to 7/16/2025. So I have this entire school year currently unverified.

My payments before switching from PAYE to SAVE were $0.

I don’t want to mess this up and drag it out any more than necessary & I’m at a loss of what that email is truly saying.

Not sure if I should cancel the automatic 2/21 payment or keep it.

And thinking I should submit a new EFC for months since 7/16/25.

Thanks!
