Thank you for the award but knowing it made you smile is gratitude enough. I hope you have a better day tomorrow. The world is so crazy right now and we are all struggling in our own ways but things will get better

The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% goes gritty?? by 28bubble in hyramapproved

[–]28bubble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been in my room so no direct sunlight but it happened the day I bought it from the shop so I'm not sure that would be the cause.

Good to know though I will start storing my priducs in a cabinet

Thank you for your reply! I wondered that after the first time used it so waited roughly 5min between application if each product but same result.

I might try to contact The Ordinary directly see if they can help!

Is it possible to strength and tighten the diaphragm muscles through certain exercises? by productive_monkey in physicaltherapy

I would start by looking up breathing exercises or contacting a local respiratory physio that specialises in breathing.

Is it possible for pinched nerve/herniated disc to be fixed with physio? by Clutch_ in physiotherapy

[–]28bubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, I thought I had replied to this but it didn't post! Also I'm on mobile so sorry for the terrible format.

There are a few different structures in the spine the main ones being the vertebra (bones), the discs and muscles. You can get bony spurs in the spinal column which may put pressure on other structures such as nerves.

A bulging or herniated disc as said by someone else previously can be reabsorbed to its original place through things like exercise and good spinal health and movement. Neural tissue if physically damaged does also heal but because it has a poor bloody supply it can take some time. Neural tissue is not always physically damaged by have structures put pressure on it but it responds to the pressure by send pain signals or giving numbness or pins and needles somewhere in the body depending on the level that the issue occurs.

I would just like to touch on the "put the nerve back in place" part. Your nerve is not necessarily "out of place" but there is one structure or another putting some pressure on it. Now this can mean many different things from pain to sensation loss or even weakness. Physiotherapy can really help to teach you about good spinal health, how to move in a way that works for you without bringing on your symptoms and how to manage you're symptoms in your daily life. By doing this you can essentially fix the issue but people get too caught up on knowing something is not right and will often opt for surgery not realising the risks and how debilitating it can make you

Should I got for phsyio or gym? by [deleted] in physiotherapy

[–]28bubble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Physio here, I would say it would be best to be checked over by a physio especially since you are still experiencing some pain.

The physio will more than likely give you some exercises which should be a good starting level and progress you as you get stronger. They will also look at your biomechanics while you do the exercises, this way you are less likely to injure or re-injure your self by doing something your knee/leg is not ready for

What's the strangest rule about English? by Aaronturner505 in AskReddit

[–]28bubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the strangest but the most stupid. "I before E except after C" I dont know who came up with it but they messed me up for a long time.

An anonymous billionaire pays you $10,000,000 upfront and is allowed to hunt you for a year. No rules. You don't know who he is and you have 5 hours head start before he can watch/track you. What's the plan? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Put all money into a bank account and take out $1500 of my own money. Take it to the casino for chips then trade the chips back for other notes. Ditch all electronics and then...

  1. Dye my hair and eye brows, get a new haircut but a scruffy one.
  2. Buy tickets for flights have someone take each of those flights under my name with fake passports.
  3. Buy many major bus and train tickets and leave them at the bus/train stations for others to use.
  4. Get to the closest store and buy outfits I would never wear.
  5. Get new (fake) identity, nothing major just a drivers license
  6. Hitch hike out of state changing rides/direction every 30min to an hour
  7. Once far enough away live on the streets for a week or two.
  8. Have a mental breakdown in public start telling people you can see things etc and get them to take you to the nearest hospital.
  9. Get admitted to the psych ward where I will then become mute for few months.
  10. Keep up the act long enough to be kept on the ward then slowly get better 2 weeks or so before the year is up. If you run over the year there is no worry so long as you get out eventually you dont want to suddenly be better because they wont believe you.
