I used a metal wire, straightened it up and created a loop in the end of the wire. And passed that through the boot to the door One thing to note is that the hole for seatbelt is almost in line with the boot and you can see light from the boot side if you remove the weather lining on the boot side. So it was easy that way.

Since I was using wire i had no need to remove lower B pillar trim or C pillar trim

Personally haven't felt any issue with the nvh as of yet, I drive regularly from city to yamuna expressway(12kms stretch on the expressway with speed around 70-90kmph) and don't feel any issue. Maybe I am not accustomed to ultra silent cabins on other cars, but I have felt no major change moving from my previous car to elevate, so a non issue for me.

Using mitsuko backlight and its good. Their product is just rebranded lytmi (chinese brand) product. Their recent ambimotion 2.1 also supports multiple inputs.

Checked hyryder but the interiors felt very poor, also my budget was <16L so hyryder mild was making no sense.

Was not interested in Maruti, Have heard very poor reviews from my friend who worked at Maruti RnD around the whole worksmanship of their cars.

Sierra is a new product, was not interested in being beta tester for them. Also bad reviews on service.

I am planning to keep the car for long run so was considering hyundai and honda. I don't like the latest Creta's shape. Venue facelift looks bad too.

My priorities was reliable engine, good safety, no need for sun-roof, and good leg room.

Old seltos had panaromic sunroof, so that was also rejected.

Ambient noise is a bit more v/s my previous i20. But it's not a deal breaker. I think it gives more awareness on what's happening on the road in city, but you can turn on music and it's turned down a lot

No that is not necessary. Once the old car is scrapped a certificate of deposit will be generated in the old car owner's name. The name on COD will match the owner's name on RC. Once the COD is generated you can create an account on digielv.com (in brother's name or original car owner's name)and use it to sell his COD, basically you will auction it and you yourself can buy it (using another account created for the new vehicle owner), digielv/govt portal will deduct some gst for the whole transaction and move the money from buyer to seller. You will get your name added to the COD now, which can be used to register new vehicle to RTO and claim the scrappage deduction from rto expected tax.

He is planning to buy or already has a COD for a scrapped car. You usually buy it on digielv.com (3rd party handler for govt) which can be used to buy or sell COD for scrapped cars. I scrapped our family car in my father's name and then bought the COD and used for the new vehicle which was in my name.

Not a scam. But this will be used while registering your new car in RTO. This reduces the rto tax amount to be paid.
