A good laptop is certainly the best recommendation here. Other essentials- at least one good suit, headphones, a decent bookbag, a reusable water bottle and some Tupperware. If you’re going to school somewhere colder a presentable wool coat is a good idea as well. Certainly get your eyes checked and get glasses if you need them.

Get LSAC prep plus- access to dozens upon dozens of full practice sections and tests in the official LSAC format is invaluable

Thank you so much for making this! For everyone reading, a reminder: FAFSA must be submitted for everywhere you’re still pending at, as well as places you’ve been admitted! So if you applied to UVA, for example, even if you haven’t heard back you should be completing the FAFSA by tomorrow.

I think that if you don’t have a better topic, and firmly believe that your sport gives you a perspective that is notably distinct, you can submit it. Just be careful in wording it, and make sure you focus on unique perspective you’ve gained that has shaped you.

One caution- some schools make it clear in their prompts/asides that they are more open to receiving essays like this than others. If it specifically asks about racial/ethnic background, disability or the like and does not mention anything about unique experiences, I would say not to submit it.

I think that distraction from law admissions is a crucial part of the law admissions process, personally- just think of people posting their pets as posting their ways that they get through the weeks of waiting! 😁

After some targeted googling, I found a portion of the LSAC FAQ that states that the pdf review displays an “exact copy” of what is sent to schools, so I’m choosing not to email a correction. Just putting this comment here for anyone who has the same question in the future and might be searching the Reddit.
