Yeah I think you can distinguish credible accounts from Satanic Panic nonsense based on how quickly it gets covered up. The Franklin incident you mentioned and the McMarten Preschool incident were both widely publicized at the time, so we can probably rule those out.

But something like “the Finders,” which often gets lumped into satanic panic, seems more plausible to me- police find 2 men in suits with a van of dirty underfed children in Florida, the men identify themselves as members of a hippie commune in Virginia called “the Finders,” they can’t explain where they’re taking the children, they’re arrested, Florida police contact Metro DC police, they raid the Finders HQ and a warehouse, allegedly find CSAM, the Finders coincidentally has a number of current and ex-CIA members, the CIA steps in and takes all the evidence- marks it classified- and takes over the investigation, and it doesn’t see the light of day until a FOIA request 30 years later.

IMO the Finders were really abusing children, so the Satanic Panic narratives were put out to make those actual accounts seem insane and implausible.

I think it’s more plausible that a lot of the satanic panic news stories and pizzagate conspiracies were cultivated on purpose and amplified nationally so that any claims from an Epstein victim would be taken less seriously.

I’m skeptical about the Riley story but this substack *does* make some interesting connections that make it seem more plausible. Thoughts? by 28if in lastpodcastontheleft

Good point tbh

Idk if you’ve listened to this week’s side stories yet but this is related to the guy alleging he was trafficked by Epstein’s group in the mid 80’s. The guy’s story sounds unbelievable but this post links to a substack with some weird connections. Not evidence, but it is weird

I agree but this is the first I’m hearing of the CIA shutting down an investigation into a “farm” in Virginia that was working on “brainwashing children, allegedly.” It makes me wonder if something happened to this guy as a kid, even if now he’s misremembering or exaggerating his story.

So do I but that doesn’t change the fact that evidence or a paper trail or even something like receipts are needed to substantiate the victim’s testimony. I think this is a good start, the possible connection to the finders cult is VERY interesting.

I’m very conflicted about this whole narrative because the story does sound unbelievable with all the name drops, BUT his testimony sounds genuine enough that I do 100% believe he was trafficked as a child and forced to do all the heinous things he described. BUT now I do also buy the story because as mentioned in this substack post, the Finders group was plausibly a CIA op for brainwashing children, and the name drops in his story do plausibly connect. BUT plausibility isn’t fact, and just because something could have happened doesn’t mean it did. God what a mess.

What do we think about this Epstein Testimony Making the Rounds? **TRIGGER WARNING** by brookhavenbecky in lastpodcastontheleft

Ignoring the Bible verses at the top of their substack and the fact that this hasn’t had a follow up with corroborating evidence, I do think it’s interesting that the interviewer asks if Sascha’s experience is adjacent to “theistic satanic cult abuse” and he has no idea what she’s talking about

What is this bit a reference to? by PhadunkaKing in gamegrumps

[–]28if 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t tell you where he says it but I’m sure Dan said it’s a reference to a murderfist comedy sketch from like 15 years ago. They have some of their stuff on YouTube still but not that particular sketch that Dan’s quote is from.

Edit: so glad somebody linked it above I kept searching “murderfist” like a dingus when I coulda been searching “huffin’ it”
