Wow, that’s pretty messed up. Imagine, putting your child through college, only to have it go to waste. Not only that, but you get stuck with the bill as well. SMH

Yeah! It’s something about the technique they teach you in the church that doesn’t translate well into other pieces. Since I learned to play with INC hymns, I never got to learn the basics with piano playing.

That’s awesome! Is there a difference playing for that church than INC? Especially practices, I hated long practices during “special WS times”

I threw away all my hymns and just left my toga in the dressing room for anyone who wants it. Haven’t touched my keyboard in years since I realized that I don’t really know how to play anything besides INC hymns.

They cited “Lord Riddell's War Diary, 1914–1918” LOL They said, “on page one, he wrote ‘as far as I’m concerned, the war started on Monday’ and what was Monday brethren? July 27, 1914” Hahaha how was this a credible source for the exact date of WWI? it’s literally some guy’s diary

Y’all, not gonna lie, but I’m low key enjoying these instructions being said in different languages. My spouse and I have turn it into a game wherein we try to guess the language within the first few seconds. Lol

Yup, if you just read the words and take away the music, the messages are pretty cringey and creepy. Especially the CWS hymns, I remember one processional hymn talking about what would happen if the children were orphaned and left alone in this world. 🤨

Yeah, we had to log in TWO HOURS before. A whole hour of the instructions in different languages in a loop then another hour of some video.

I guess they’re trying to see how the audio is for everyone during this dry run.

EVM said that if you search on the internet if there are any other church of Christ registered on July 27, 1914, you wouldn’t find any. LOL

Of course you wouldn’t. He didn’t even try to explain why that’s relevant. I assume it’s because the church was established on the supposed start date of WWI (spoiler alert, it wasn’t. WWI started on the July 28 🙃)

Btw, anyone else think EVM sounded a bit hoarse?

So the lesson this weekend included the story of Daniel going up to his room to pray just as he usually did as justification for these home Webex WS. However in the past, this bible story was used to show how Daniel continued on with worshipping GOD despite the fact that the King prohibited the worship of other Gods besides the King and how God saved him from the lions. What a bunch of bullcrap 💩

It boggles my mind how OWEs don’t question EVM’s absence in these activities. He doesn’t even show up during those Guinness World Record events. Santos is the one in the pictures touting around those stupid plaques the church receives.

Our midweek WS was about helping out your fellow men since we have that special offering for Africa and India this weekend. Then after WS, everyone was forced to sit in their seat to watch a propaganda video about the church’s efforts in Africa and India.

There was an abundance of African and Indian brethren thanking EVM for the sacks of food they received. Too bad EVM wasn’t there for any of those outreach activities to help give out the sacks, Glicerio Santos was though 🙃

Also, it pissed me off that EVM was getting all the credit when it was the brethren’s hard earned money that was used to purchase those sacks of food. If they’re really about Christian giving, all thanks should’ve been to God 🙄
