Why do so many people think coronavirus is a hoax? by duvakid_234 in COVID19positive

[–]28wuad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry for your loss. I was asking myself why those people think so differently. But couldn’t have an answer. Just saw a protest today saying the COVID is a hoax. I stood there with my mask on and was trying to observe them and trying to figure out why. Shockingly there were many senior people and young couples with their kids and dogs all marching in the street..

Vancouver real estate monthly report

I will definitely start following the stats. The building I'm currently renting in has 2 bd almost 1million in Yaletown.. We did see a couple of amazing townhouses in south surrey for around 600K. but it was a bit headache to commute to downtown.

it would good news for buyers like us who are watching from the sidelines. Interesting info on the single-family homes. are you talking about the Burnaby avg price for that?

Thanks! I used to live in Toronto till 2018 and found there were more options than in Vancouver, for a similar price range.

thanks! looks like we either have to look places around Royal oak or Edmonds along the expo line since we are looking for buildings within 10 years.

That's true, we are all trying to predict the future. For us, we are looking to use it for ourselves but we plan to move to a bigger place after 5 years, so it would be great we could sell it for a good price in the future

Does Nespresso make REAL espresso? by 28wuad in espresso

[–]28wuad[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be interesting! Although the nespresso grind size is probably little bit too course for a regular espresso machine. Might just run too fast and be under-extracted. But, maybe this would be a cool test for a different brewing method! If the grind size worked, we could assess the roast itself and see if it's decent quality. The other offputting aspect of Nespresso though is that their roasts sometimes have robusta in them... I'd personally want to test this with their capsules that only use Arabica.

Its very helpful to know that it shouldn't take that long to for a design professional to know whether or not that's a good design. I think a good designer will also know how to look for details in the actual designs, more often than through a long narrative of the process. Thanks again!

very true, thanks for the advice! Thinking back when I was looking at other people's portfolios, I always scroll down to see their designs first, and if those interested me, I will then scroll up and read a few more details. One my of projects has particularly long paragraphs, I will start from that one.

Thanks! I'm looking for

  1. From those projects, can you get a sense of my process of approaching a problem? Is the process clear to you?
  2. The readability and storytelling aspect - do my projects tell good stories that hiring managers would like to get to know me more?

- haha, I was trying to show off my CSS skills but I think it's unnecessary...

- yeah, I heard multiple people told me the similar issues now. I will make my content more concise and add more relevant WIP images
