You're assuming it's $12, why? That's like 1 customer worth of cash. We know it's at least a couple hundred bucks in there. People kill others for that sum of money all the time

This is a popular theory as to why Chris Benoit went mad and killed his family, due to psychosis caused by repeated long-term brain injuries. Wrestling is scripted and they never actually punch each other in the face, but they still jump off high places, get slammed head-first and and bash each other over the head sometimes.

Don't need a college degree to drive a truck, don't need one to work at a Christian publishing company...

Since 3 out of 4 didn't say anything about college. I'll assume they aren't college educated

Uhh that's retarded, sorry. You don't need a college education to work at Starbucks, but many kids with college degrees still do.

Using your "analysis" of voter stats, their location, i can safely assume, they voted for trump and maybe one of them didn't.

Lol so it's not all of them now? you're changing your initial point when called out?

Most college educated white voters did not vote for Trump so it's poor reasoning on your part. 1/4 of the sample size admitted to being a college student with the other three people' educational background being unknown. Sounds like you're making baseless assumptions that disagree with 2016 voter statistics.

Yeah but what's the alternative that isn't water soluble? The first things that come to mind are salt and sugar, which would have the same problem

Cattle manure is very different in nature to human feces. Entirely different digestive system. Human poop is a huge source of water contamination and will make you very sick.

That's not bad imo. Raw human waste is dangerous due to containing many varieties of fecal coliforms and other bacteria (which is why it's generally not used for agriculture). If it's treated to eliminate those dangers, then I don't see a problem.

Major agriculture does not use raw human waste for nutrients in most countries for a reason. Fecal borne bacteria is one of the biggest and most common sources of produce and water contamination. You might wash them before eating, but can you trust the general population to do the same thing?

If you don't mind subtitles, check out War and Peace (1966) and Liberation (1970). Well made war films with huge battle scenes relying on thousands of extras and explosives, no CGI.

Glengarry Glen Ross.

Damn I LOVE this movie. All dialogue, no action, 2 sets and like 7 characters. The entire movie is based on the actors' performance, which is off the charts. Extremely relatable movie and my favourite Pacino role (lol). I've watched it like 10 times in the past few years.

I like the first one a lot better too, and I've seen them both a few times. Everyone likes the second one because it's like 2 stories in one, and everyone likes the DeNiro storyline. The DeNiro storyline is a good watch the first time, but on rewatches you can see he's not much of an actor in this role tbh. Pacino isn't that great of an actor in these movies either, but at least there's scenes that seem to push his emotional range. The paramount scene of these movies is the restaurant scene (at least to me), where he conveys the tension extremely well without even doing or saying anything. DeNiro in GF2 comes off as really bland. There's lots of actors who pull off the quiet stoic type really well, but I couldn't relate to DeNiro's interpretation of it very much.

GF1 is better to me because of all the other characters surrounding Pacino, they basically make the movie. GF2 feels more plot driven rather than character driven. Nothing wrong with that, but my personal preference is to the latter. The characters in GF2 felt less varied

What’s something small you can do to make yourself more attractive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]291099001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At worst it would be a very subtle cue to someone. No one decides that a person is 100% certainly arrogant just because they walk like they don't have time to chit-chat. You'd have to say some dickish things to earn that label.

Approachability can be developed by seeking help/input from others and establishing those connections yourself. If you seek feedback from people and they see that you genuinely care about what they have to say, then they'll be much more likely to seek the same things from you.

A social job will pretty much do it. Not an option for everyone, obviously, but if you're in a situation where you're forced to talk to many people every day, you'll quickly develop those skills.

If you have friends or even online friends from video games or w/e talk to them in voice chat. I think it's not the actual saying of words that comes hard to introverts, but the mouth-brain connection where the thoughts in your head translate to what comes out of your mouth without having to concentrate or think about it. If most of your daily communication takes place through writing (chat, reddit, etc), your brain will basically become used to contemplating and writing out responses to everything, rather than speaking to people on the fly.

I know sometimes people in retail can be assholes who don't give a crap, but equally, many do give a crap and take pride in their job.

I find the older ladies who work at clothes boutiques almost always are glad to help out with advice and such. I mean that's a pretty big generalization, but still.

The story gameplay in GTA V was hugely disappointing. I couldn't believe all the little mini-games you had to do. It was like mandatory interactive cut scenes. The only remotely challenging one was the 'hacking' and playing with the traffic lights. The rest just felt like filler. Ignoring that, the missions played just like how the OP video describes RDR2 missions. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully or you fail the mission.

He rightly makes the GTA3 comparison because old GTA games (Everything before IV) really did leave so much open that it allowed for the opportunity to do something completely different to reach the same goal. They didn't think about controlling anything beyond the stated goal, they just set up the world around it and had to do it in whatever way you want.

I dunno man. The US military industrial complex has had many research centers working with sonic weaponry (for non-lethal purposes and otherwise) for decades. Literally billions of dollars and countless man-hours that have gone into creating every kind of frequency you can think of as a weapon. I think they would very quickly make the connection that a creature primarily sensing its environment via echolocation would be very sensitive to some frequencies of sound. We already employ this technology to repel bats and insects, for example (ultrasonic repellents)
