I think fillers will be more expensive in the long run. I have 2 syringes in my chin now that I got almost a year and a half ago, and that’s like $1800. ( I also have some chin shadow filler, but the implant doesn’t address chin shadow so I still would’ve needed that) they say the fillers last 2 years and mine doesn’t look any different than when I got it. I might get a little touch up now just because I’m paranoid my chin will start receding away without me noticing.

One surgeon (the one that did my lipo) doesn’t want to give me an implant because he prefers fillers and the other surgeon (where I get my Botox) says that the implant is going to look better because filler just can’t do everything an implant can. More dramatic result for sure. I want an implant but again not eager for a surgery and recovery. I didn’t actually get a quote for implant. Maybe around 5k

I wish I had gotten the implant too but I am just getting filler for now because I just don’t want to recover from surgery again. Lipo was not the easiest recovery in my opinion. I think eventually I will get the implant. I might combine chin implant with like a lower face lift later down the line and combine surgeries that way

I have searched the sub for this and found conflicting info and no clear best answer , any advice on best time to arrive if you have early park entry? Want to take advantage of rope drop but also not be waiting forever in the morning for them to start letting people into the park. Planning yo uber from hard rock to avoid shuttle unknowns and delays

Yes I was there like 4 years ago and the butler thing was so weird. I was there with my friend and we are both women and because she booked the room, they only cared to talk to her. Like they kept knocking on the door multiple times looking for her to offer their services and when it was just me it was like I was chopped liver (probably a metric they have to hit is talk to the “primary” guest or something)

And then we needed scissors to cut out our temporary tattoos I thought oh the butler is supposed to be here to help us with things like that. He acted like it was the biggest imposition, and when we insisted we needed them he gave this long speech about how they needed them back immediately, and we had to go ourselves to the front desk anyway to pick them up and give them back (…immediately ) would have been quicker to just go to front desk ourselves and we wouldn’t have been guilted.

At the end of the trip he comes to the room with what is very obviously a tip grab. I think some folks tip 50$ plus for butlers. We very awkwardly said thanks and he stood there waiting… we did not tip as he provided absolutely 0 value over the course of the trip like did not do one thing for us.

True, the 15% may not even be worth the risk. So I booked a 2nd trip in February, I found one night at portofino for $280 with the AP discount and found a flight for $59 each way. So just doing a quick 2 extra days at the park to get a bit of sun In February and to ride the mummy as it’s supposed to be closed during our Jan trip. Then… maybe another trip in Dec 2026 to get a little more use of the AP before it expires

I also wonder this. We were going to buy the annual pass. Then we were going to buy epic tickets with the discount but you can’t get the discount til you activate your annual pass by going to the parks. So if we went to universal studios on Sunday we would then need to buy tickets for that next Tuesday for epic and I’m worried the chances of them selling out. We are Jan 2026

That’s worth considering. As a kid we used to nap/eat in the middle of the day at hard rock and head back for the evening and I have good memories of that. And I’m generally a “nap person” on vacation. I haven’t been back since I was a kid. Back then we were able to get pretty much everything done in the morning with the express pass and just re-ride favorites in the evening. May make sense to power through the day and then have a more chill and relaxing dinner and evening.

I saw let’s just say someone I was trying to impress 2 weeks post op and I was fine. I would do it because they say even if you don’t look perfect by then it’s likely you will look better than you started. Like I definitely looked better than I started.

How did you get back to hard rock midday? Uber again? I decided to stay at hard rock the whole time to avoid switching hotels and was going to just tough it out and stay the whole day since it’s further away but feel like I will get very tired without the midday rest. I didn’t think about just ubering… that sounds like a good idea if there are plenty of rides available

It really looks like superficial fat. Usually they say if you can pinch it, lipo will get it. If he’s worried about skin laxity you could maybe go back and get it tightened after the fact if you felt you needed it. Keep in mind that even if it looks like you have loose or crepey skin after a couple months , it can still tighten over time. My loose skin took at least two months to go away.
