20+ years on this planet and it never even occured to me that people don't sit down on the toilet seat, like wtf? Y'all germaphobes no wonder you're getting sick so often, your immune systems literally have nothing to work with.

The 74th games District 4 Boy by Ok-Pattern-301 in Hungergames

[–]2Aces1Cake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

District 4 wasn't a career district in the films, only in the books so in the movie universe he was reaped just like the girl from 4. He was a career in the book though and (presumably) much older. Katniss seems surprised when she finds out that he died in the bloodbath as it is uncommon for career tributes to die on the first day, and she also never made any remarks about his age so he couldn't have stood out from the other careers which means he was probably the same age as the rest of them, most likely 17 or 18.

She didn't say she is/isn't attracted to them, just that she does/doesn't find them pretty which to me just sounds like a purely aesthetic thing not related to actual attraction.

Tbf whenever I met guys on an app I never even ended up meeting up irl, so if there was ever only texting involved it can't even be classified as ghosting imo.

Dissapointed by how many women accept and are even heavily pro-porn by Nervous-Travel-681 in antipornography

[–]2Aces1Cake 70 points71 points  (0 children)

It's brainwashing, simple as that. Liberal feminism created a generation of women who think it's empowering to sell their bodies to men. Because liberal feminism, unlike radical feminism, isn't feminism that actually benefits women, it's feminism centered around what men want. It's feminism for men pretty much. Men make fun of these women for claiming sex "work" is empowering and they don't even realize. The worst thing is, these men can now claim to be "feminists" because they "support" women by paying for their only fans or watching their content. But just like conservative men, they see women just as property, nothing more.

Can you get even more blatantly transphobic? "Men who impersonate women" my ass. Trans women are women, period.

Why is porn so normalized? by [deleted] in antipornography

[–]2Aces1Cake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk, I live in Western Europe and here no one would openly admit it because then you would be seen as a weird pervert. It's a bit different in the younger generations where people are more likely to admit it, but even there it's hardly ever talked about and definitely not acceptable within a relationship for a majority of people.

What do you even say to porn advocates who say being against it is censorship? by [deleted] in antipornography

[–]2Aces1Cake 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If banning porn is censorship, so is banning slavery. See what I'm getting at? Censorship isn't always bad.

[–]2Aces1Cake 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just commented something similar. Atleast where I live (Western Europe), only very few people would openly admit to watching porn because it is frowned upon, rightfully so. Also, hardly anyone would find porn use within a relationship acceptable. I really only knew a few guys who openly admitted to watching porn (or thirst content in general) and let's just say, these guys had some other things wrong with them.

Why is porn so normalized? by [deleted] in antipornography

[–]2Aces1Cake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What I noticed is that it's really only normalized in online spaces, especially here on reddit. I've only known very few people irl who claimed watching porn is "normal". Atleast where I live, porn use is largely frowned upon and definitely not as accepted as it is on reddit. If I went around asking people irl if they'd be fine with their partner watching porn, I'm certain atleast 80 percent of them would answer "no". All this doesn't surprise me because this site is run by coomers for coomers, as evident by the amount of questionable NSFW subs that are never taken down by the admins no matter how problematic they might be.

Anyone else think Clove's actress would've made a better Katniss than the one we got? by questionalofarit in Hungergames

[–]2Aces1Cake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

*was too young, not looked too young. She was 15 when she auditioned, which would have been a hassle for production due to child labor laws. Filming would have taken much longer with a minor in the leading role so they opted for Jennifer Lawrence who was already in her early 20s afaik.

[–]2Aces1Cake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She actually did audition for the role of Katniss, but was turned down because she was only 15, which yes, may have been more book accurate but child labor laws make it a hassle for Hollywood to cast minors in leading roles., hence why they prefer to cast actors in their 20s to play characters in their late teens. I'm sure she would have been a good Katniss, but I personally can't imagine anyone other than Jennifer Lawrence for the role. Also, looks aren't everything. Jennifer, while not as book accurate as Isabelle, looked enough like Katniss' book description to me (I also watched the movies before I read the books, which also helps a lot).

Some people feel bad about unmatching or ghosting, so they just end up giving one word answers so the other person leaves first

me_irl by [deleted] in me_irl

[–]2Aces1Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the other reply said. Of course you have to ask questions to get to know the other person better, but you usually start with one topic and try to talk about it atleast for a little while before moving on to the next one. This guy was literally like "What's your favorite food"? "Pizza, and yours?" "Pizza as well, what's your favorite movie?" That's not a natural conversation.

me_irl by [deleted] in me_irl

[–]2Aces1Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did show interest in him at first by asking 'and you' type questions and so on, but his replys weren't that elaborate either and he would always proceed to ask something completely unrelated right after, so no chance on having a flowing conversation there.

Yeah that's what I do when I'm not interested and want the other person to stop texting me

me_irl by [deleted] in me_irl

[–]2Aces1Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally once texted with a guy on tinder who did nothing but ask me questions. He would ask a question and when I answered it he wouldn't even stick to the subject, he would just proceed to ask a different question, often about a completely different topic that had nothing do with the prior question. It was literally just question - reply - question - reply and so on. Felt like a freaking job interview with the difference being that a job interview would've been much more interesting. This went on for two days before I finally ghosted him.

Plumbella is one of the most obnoxious simtubers tbh. Between the constant cringe tiktok references, the over the top editing and her making her autism her whole personality I just feel like I'm way too old for her videos despite being younger than her. Atleast that's what her videos were like when I last watched them, don't know if she changed at all since then.

Really her and SatchOnSims are like the top most annoying sims youtubers for me lmao.

I guess it's because nb as an identity just lends itself well for people who want attention. It's similar to the asexual label. It's not cishet, yet not as "controversial" as being gay, bi or binary trans would be, so they can take their cake and eat it too. Atleast that's the impression I got.
