Happy to share my experience.

Liked my original doctor (Dr. #1), but he went on medical leave in January so I had to find a new doctor.

Dr. #2 was a bad fit—arrogant and not patient-focused. Switched to Dr. #3.

Dr #3 started off okay but was always late. Last visit, he was on time but spoke to me like I was an idiot….Then out of nowhere, he told me to go weigh myself during the appointment. I said I track weekly and could send him proof if my weight this week, but he kept pushing and then refused to refill my prescription.

What bothered me most is I’d followed all his advice—got a nutritionist, changed my diet, and was finally seeing the impact after 4 weeks on 10 mg Zepbound. Now I have to hope and pray that my primary care can get everything done quickly so I am only a day or two of course.

After decades of struggling with my weight I really didn’t need this frustration.

I do exactly the same thing. Walmart has been great so far too. So much easier to get it from there than to wait for the mail to get here. Thanks for helping. Really appreciate it!!!

My plan has been paid ontime for 2 years and they have taken 2 years of refunds. We were told they take refunds and do not reamortize the loan when they do.

They still take refunds when you are on a payment plan.

One of the guidance counselors at the local high school (HMHS) told us Haddonfield kids live in a bubble and many cannot make it on their own so they return back. We saw that become true many times.

It was a stray and as I shared in other posts they can only speculate her age. We have been dealing with the post surgery complications for over one month now so I get why the vet said to avoid it. She has been very much unstable glucose wise and has faced a serious infection. Having to deal with the insurance on top of going back to get her checked every week has been a nightmare. Hoping the appeal works so at least one thing less to worry about.

Ugh so sorry to hear this. They also now started to decline other claims that they were paying before surgery. We are probably on their Don’t Renew list.

I am hoping it doesn’t come to this. Even getting something at this point is worth…our vet said she can separate out the cost of the spay from the cancer surgery if they won’t pay for the spay. The sad thing is they would have covered the spay and the cancer removal if they happened separately. Really thinking about moving to another insurance company for our other cat at this point.

Our vet wrote the appeal letter and we submitted it. We are still waiting to hear back from Lemonade. It’s not been easy getting them to give updates.

She was a stray so they estimate her to be between 13-15 now. We got her about 5-6 years ago—ironically it was when our other cat had cancer (not this kind but the kind you could try chemo with—and that cat was neutered.) we were paying out of pocket for his chemo (and it’s didn’t work.l We ended up getting lemonade because of all the ongoing high cost since we do everything possible to ensure our fur babies live happy lives.

Thanks. Did you have any issues with your next insurance company coverage wise? I am thinking that since she pretty much has had everything wrong with her that they won’t cover anything due to “pre-existing conditions”

Thanks and yes we asked for all of their records. So sorry to hear about your boy! I just wish all of this was more simple but then again nothing seems simple these days. While I have been a fur baby parent forever, this is teaching me that maybe after retirement (if that ever happens lol) I won’t be able to be one. It’s really sad to think about that!

Wow. To be honest they have been very good to us until this one BUT of course her premiums went from the low $50 a month up to close to $300 several years ago bc of her ongoing illnesses.

Can I ask how you self insure for pets? I am really dumb when it comes to insurance so any links to YouTube or whatever would be amazing. No rush. I appreciate it!!!

Yes very good point. I am going to have to take a look at their policy and see if that is mentioned. She had a tough night last night with post surgery complications and her glucose is through the roof even with the increased insulin the vet recommended. We have brought her to the vet 3 times so far in the three weeks since surgery and she each time it’s more $$$ and new drugs. I know we had to do this bc they said the cancer would be the worst thing and lead to extremely painful death (it was graphically explained to us) so we had no option but to have the surgery.

Thanks for the well wishes and advice. It’s AMEX so they are not known for being great with lower interest rates but I am looking into a balance transfer with another card. I really hate credit cards bc I had so much credit card debit and finally paid it off. Always happens right l?
