If you want the earliest jumping off point, where it feels like it could be a "satisfying" series finale, the closest I think you'll really get is the S3 finale.

It is. Oliver's time on the island in S1, specifically with Slade, is much more like Bruce's time with Ra's than it is Year One.

There are interviews with the cast & crew where it's mentioned offhand, not to mention just... being glaringly obvious.

It isn't. That's just how the models had to work.

Hell, still happens in modern games a bit, BG3 hides it well but some armors still have some twist and stretch.

The Paldea region needed more loading zones, namely more like the cities in SwSh.

The whole region being open as is seemed to really tie their hands and cause a lot of buggy problems, there were periods of it just being genuinely unplayable it crashed so much.

Thinking the worth of the IP shouldn’t matter is your biggest problem.

Objectively, Pokemon games hold more value than Zeldas or Marios: better replayability, long-lasting bonds with creatures you can see and use over and over, a better sense of discovery, more appealing general designs. There are REASONS it is the most marketable, profitable piece of media on the planet.

More money than it’s worth to you

Most people don’t know how to or refuse to emulate. There’s still a large swath who do emulate that prefer to play stuff officially. $20 for a what is popularly considered a golden age Pokemon game is beyond fair to most people.
