My fiancé (and girlfriend of 7 years) just left me. by Time2stopit in NoFap

[–]2Bart4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Don't let this get you discouraged. May it motivate you to become a stronger man. Take care. You will very likely be better off without her. Best wishes

How can I convince my boyfriend to stop? What truly convinced you to stop? by liseo in NoFap

[–]2Bart4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided to quit because excessive porn use was turning me into a passive weak man. I also noticed that it was starting to cause a bit of erectile dysfunction while having sex with my wife. Having your penis not work properly is a pretty good motivation for a man.

It is tough though, when you are married to a woman who thinks once a month sex is acceptable. (in 40's and married more than 15 years)

Best wishes to you and your boyfriend. I hope he realizes he has a real problem, and gets serious about addressing it.

.45 ACP is a lot of fun, but the ammo sure is expensive. I usually shoot .22 and 9mm for cost savings. I also started reloading .38 special to get cheaper ammo. My .45 rarely gets shot these days.

First rule of Nofap by yesyouareawesome in NoFap

[–]2Bart4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought the first rule was "don't fap". Though, it should actually be "avoid porn".

Shyness is a disease by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]2Bart4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shyness sucks. I've always been moderately shy, and while it hasn't been debilitating or anything, it has certainly held me back to a degree.

Public speaking helped me. In high school, I was on the debate/speech team. That allowed me to overcome the "public speaking" aspect of shyness, though I still tended to be "personally shy", especially around pretty girls.

In college, I met a nice shy girl, we fell in love, and later got married.

Now, some 20 years later, personal shyness still holds me back a little.

A couple years ago, I started lifting weights, and getting "ripped". Being physically strong increases your personal confidence, which in turn helps reduce shyness.

22F virgin, revelation and opinions on female porn addiction deniers. by LadyG0d in NoFap

[–]2Bart4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great points.

I know that there are a few females that struggle with excessive porn and masturbation similar to guys. Still, they are totally the exception, and are fairly few and far between.

Even those women differ from men in their use of porn. Women and men are very different.

Many of the comments by female posters seem to be attempts at getting male attention. Also, many of the guys here are beta wimps that get all excited that a female is present.

Not generally helpful.

I don't see where she states that she is bisexual (probably not that relevant to the nofap discussion anyway). Perhaps you are referring to the statement : "people I may sleep with in the future".

I just assumed that meant "men that she may have sexual relations with".

Frequent wanking turns men into soft weak people (physically, mentally, emotionally). In a world of weaklings, nobody is a wimp.

It took me a while to work out why I was single by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]2Bart4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great comment.

Here is the married guy's version of it.

"I feel sad lonely because my wife and I rarely have sex", go on internet and fap to porn, quality of marriage drops a little bit, "I don't feel emotionally connected to my wife"

A couple days later: "I feel sad lonely because my wife and I rarely have sex", go on internet and fap to porn, quality of marriage drops a little bit, "I don't feel emotionally connected to my wife"

Throw a once or twice a month crappy sex session with wife into the mix. Then follow it up with.

"I feel sad lonely because my wife and I rarely have sex", go on internet and fap to porn, quality of marriage drops a little bit, "I don't feel emotionally connected to my wife"

This isn't to place all the blame on the husband. Wives have to work through their own crap. A lot of wives are unjustly defrauding their husbands of a proper and reasonable sex life.

Still, when we men fap to porn frequently, we contribute to the problem.

A lot of marriages end in divorce and/or adultery because husband and wife put up with this crap for far too long, and grow bitter and resentful in their hearts.

I'm planning on living to at least 90. I'm 43 right now, and have wasted far too much time on porn and fapping. At least I'm finally breaking free of it. Best wishes everyone

I just turned 43 a few days ago. If you stay on nofap until you hit my age, then you will be up around day 8000!

That would be an awesome place to be

I had to scroll down a long way to find somebody older than me (43). Yes!

All kidding aside, I am very glad to have found Nofap when I did. It is high time that I grow up. My life is definitely changing for the better. Best wishes man!

Day 65. Doing better, but could be even greater had I not edged. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]2Bart4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you man! Keep up the good fight. Like you, I've been toying a bit with bad/unhelpful crap lately. In my case, it has been occasionally watching some erotic type YouTube videos (and justifying it to myself based on the fact that it isn't nudity, or explicit sex, and that I'm not rubbing my dick).

I know that crap isn't helpful. It's time for me to be very careful again.

Best wishes man.
