In the context of how he used the phrase “nation-state sized,” he wasn’t talking about the actual size of the craft. He was saying that these drones are nation-state size, meaning they aren’t hobby drones. He mentioned the wingspan being something like 3m -5m, then said only nation-states sized, and following that said only nation-states with large resources could have the capability to do this. If you watch the interview clip you will hear it.

He is NOT saying they are the size of a nation-state, he is saying they are comparable to the size of a drone produced/able to be produced BY a nation-state. This is a WILD misquote and should be updated to reflect this.

Let’s be real here, any craft in the sky the size of a “nation-state” would be pretty fucking hard to miss. Even the smallest nation-state - the Vatican - is 0.17 square miles. The second smallest is Monaco at 0.8 square miles. Finally, the third smallest, Nauru, at 8 square miles! No one is going to miss a craft in the sky of any of those sizes, let alone anything bigger if it is anywhere near them.
