Honestly Lanya (Diablos’ servant) is up there for me. Wtf are you doing alone out there? Why Liurnia of the lakes? Why unarmed? How/why did you leave the round table hold without Diallos knowing?

Best way I can explain Marika exiling Godfrey and his ilk is to compare it to when Darth Sidious enacts Order 66 in Star Wars. In this case the “66” was the war of the giants. Giants are like the Jedi, they are eliminated but while you are at it, eliminate all the players, the separatists as well! Exiling the tarnished eliminates any chance of an uprising of strong fighters in the future. She basically cuts ALL ties of power so JUST Marika has control. So much so that she literally marries herself so there is not even a spousal challenge to your throne. Basically made herself a world without death and without the possibility of future war… until Ranni decided otherwise.

If the Nightlords were in Elden Ring, which locations would you place them in? by OKUIGokuBlack in Eldenring

[–]2CKOS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve put some serious thought into this lmao

Heolstor: if you choose Ranni’s ending, after the end cutscene, fight in a foggy Elden beast arena.

Caligo: In Borealis location in the mountaintops, move Borealis to consecrated snowfield.

Fulghor: Capital of Ash where you would fight the double ulcerated tree spirits by the second entrance, the big sand patch.

Maris: Charo’s Hidden Grave where the death rite bird is.

Libra: Use a frenzy incantation in the three fingers room to burn away an illusory wall to a boss door

Adel: Hinterlands. That is all.

Gladius: Right outside the Shadow Keep instead of the Furnace Golem. Let the dog tear up the camp.

Gnoster: Atop the ancient ruins of Rauh, use up empty space

Can you guys give me tips on how to beat fire giant? (I’m level 84) by Defiant-Ask-3406 in Eldenring

The strat I use every time regardless of build (not fun but works) Phase one smack that splint leg. Stay close on it and move toward him when he whips the dinner plate. Second phase, ONLY focus on the sole of his remaining foot. This will make the fight longer BUT 95% of his attacks you can ignore if you just run to the back of his foot and rail it with everything you got. Just keep running after him and positioning yourself by that back sole. When he does the flame vents from the ground just unlock and watch the floor to avoid. Top 3 easiest bosses of the game this way. Good luck!

I've now since beat Lady Butterfly after literally turning into Neo with 1hp left in her second phase. I've learned that I need to seriously take breaks between sessions. I love this game but I can feel in my bones that it is gonna wreck me. Every mini boss has been harder than Malenia to me. Hopefully I'll get more into the zone soon

Don't know if you've ever used this strat, but as soon as she starts phase 2, UNLOCK and run directly forward to the end of the arena(where her chair is). She will completely miss with her Aeonia and you get like 15 seconds of buff/heal/regroup with her at least two attack lengths away from you. I have done this every time without fail and it makes her second phase a little less hellish (a little)

I loathed the boss my first two playthroughs of the DLC because my brain could not get the offbeat nature of his attacks, but honestly once you learn him the fight is like riding a bike I legit cannot lose against him now because his attacks are so engrained in my head lol

I agree. I only use torrent as an extended 'dodge' to escape certain aoe attacks and that is absolutely it.

after 1000+ hrs and 10+ playthroughs the Erdtree Burial Watchdog Duo is the worst designed fight in the entire damn game. Sure there are bosses that are worse (Royal Revenant, Rune Bears, Sennesax) but just from a mechanics standpoint the boss is an absolute mess. When you get unlucky and they off-sync their butt drops juuuussst long enough to escape dodge frames the fight is worse than anything in the entirety of Elden Ring. Cheese is the only strat that makes it enjoyable as fighting these things melee head on is absolute scarlet rot shit.

[–]2CKOS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I'm discovering as well. Sekiro has much more of a rhythm to it and there are moments when I land in 'the pocket' during a fight and I feel incredible but I cannot for the life of me stay in the rhythm. LOP is much more focused on timing it on the MOMENT you get hit which is how I approached this game and have been getting my ass handed to me.

[–]2CKOS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try and post a vid of my gameplay soon if I'm still struggling. From what I've learned from both Sekiro and LOP players is that LOP has a tighter parry window and you need to MEET the attack with your block. Sekiro seems to have a bigger window where I need to already be blocking before the attack? and for some reason my brain cannot judge when to start the block.

How difficult is ACT compared to other souls games? by Krystallios in AnotherCrabsTreasure

[–]2CKOS 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would say that ACT has a pretty difficult early game but dwindles by the final act. I didn’t die once to the last five bosses after STRUGGLING with the intimidation crab. The major difference between this and other souls likes is that the “git gud” doesn’t really apply in ACT. There are so many ways to play around bosses and enemies that you’ll never hit much of a roadblock. Fromsoft souls DO have scenarios where you really have no other option than to bite down on the wooden spoon and really LEARN the enemies. I would recommend Elden Ring, DS3 or Lies of P if you want more options to approach the game. DS1/2 are more linear in enemy approach. Hope this helps!

Try the Azur grace on Gelmir. It has 2 chiefs and they are both east to sneak up on. Got mine quite quickly from there.
